The purpose of this study to synthesize and characterize silver nanoparticles using phenolic compounds obtained from Camellia sinensis, to test the antibacterial properties of biosynthesized nanoparticles on the formation of biofilms in multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Ten isolates of P. aeruginosa were obtained from the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute laboratories of the University of Baghdad. By using the VITEK-2 system and culturing the isolates on cetrimide agar, the diagnosis was confirmed. Camellia sinensis silver nanoparticles (CAgNPs) were created using an extract of the plant's aqueous and methanolic leaves. Based on the results of the nanoparticle synthesis, spherical nanoparticles that may be single or mixed were included in both the aqueous and methanolic extracts of silver nanoparticles. By comparing their retention times to those of the reference compounds, the HPLC findings revealed that two phenolic compounds (gallic acid and caffeine) had been discovered. Utilising the disc diffusion technique, the antibacterial activity of (CAgNPs) was assessed. The results indicated that the methanolic (CAgNPs) extract was more effective than the aqueous (CAgNPs) extract at 375 and 750 ppm, giving the highest inhibition zone 17.67 and 21.33 mm, respectively, when compared to the aqueous (CAgNPs) extract, which produced inhibitory zones 13.00 and 16.33 mm, respectively. The MIC findings indicated that the methanolic CAgNPs extract was more effective than the aqueous CAgNPs extract; the MIC of the methanolic CAgNPs extract was 23.43 μg/ml in all P. aeruginosa isolates, except the isolates No. 9 and 10, which was 11.718 μg/ml. While in the aqueous extract, the MIC in all P. aeruginosa isolates was 187.5 μg/ml, with the exception of isolates No. 9 and 10, which was 93.75 μg/ml. Additionally, the methanolic CAgNPs extract entirely inhibited P. aeruginosa from building a biofilm when used at 23.43 μg/ml. However, at 46.87 μg/ml of the aqueous CAgNPs extract, totally reduced the biofilm forming activity on P. aeruginosa isolates
The study aimed to know the effect of the use alcoholic ethanol extraction of Boswellia Carterii In prolonging the period of preservation cooled ground meat in 4C for 6 days, it has been mixing ground meat with 150,300,450 mg/ml of alcoholic extract Consecutive, Where (0 was the control sample), All samples were stored separately for 0 , 3 , 6 days in Refrigerator temperature 4 C, Conducted by some microbial tests, Results have shown that mixing the ground meat with Boswellia Carterii extraction Led to prolong the storage of meat for 6 days at 4 C .and the Best result came when adding alcoholic ethanol extract of Boswellia Carterii by 450mg/ml Which Equal 0.9 g ,that reducing microbial load more higher than 150&300 mg/ml. Eliminating the microorganisms within the pulp space is a critical and important objective in treating a tooth with apical periodontitis. This study was conducted to evaluate the antibacterial properties of herbal alternatives (Green tea and siwak extracts) as possible irrigants during endodontic treatment compared with the conventional irrigation solutions. Materials and methods: Salvadora Persica (siwak) and Green Tea solutions were prepared. An agar diffusion test was performed on Mueller-Hinton agar using the well diffusion method. The tested solutions (5.25% N

These bacteria were isolated from samples taken from burn and infected wound areas of 55 patients admitted to the burn-wound unit in Al-Kindy teaching hospital in Baghdad during the period from October 2012 to March 2013. Each isolate was identified using microscopic, cultural and biochemical methods. A standard bacterial suspension was prepared for each isolate. Serial dilutions were then prepared and a dilution of 10-5 was selected. Irradiation experiments included four groups: (L-P-) bacterial suspension in saline solution, (L-P+) bacteria

Results showed that the essential oil of Citrus paradisi inhibited the radial growth of Penicillium oxalicum and Fusarium oxysporum at concentration 4%. Nevertheless, the essential oil of Citrus sinensis inhibited the radial growth at concentration 5 and 4%, respectively. Furthermore, the two studied fungicides inhibited radial growth of these fungi too. Therefore, there are a positive relationship between the evaluating of concentration and the percentage of inhibiting of rad

Garlic extract (Allium sativum) was used as a green-reducing and stabilizing agent for CaONPs. The average particle size of CaONPs was approximately 24.42 nm. The synthesized CaONPs were identified by using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, U.V.-vis spectrum, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and zeta potential (Zp) analysis. The current study highlights the notable applications for CaONPs. First, an antimicrobial assay revea
