Accelerating Face Mask Detection Training Model Based on Multi-GPUs and Multi-core CPU
...Show More Authors

Modern machine-learning applications require GPUs, and modern platforms can leverage numerous GPUs on one or more machines to increase performance. Contemporary deep-learning models are too huge for CPU or GPU training. Training these models with many GPUs without performance degradation is necessary to train them rapidly and maximize GPU consumption. Thus, training deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) with multiple GPUs has become necessary for improving training. Therefore, we presented a parallel design and development of an efficient model for enhancing face mask CNN performance and improving resource efficiency. This DCNN model is a parallel training system over multiple GPUs, a multi-core CPU, and a multi-process GPU platform with large batch size and learning rate involvement to optimize resource use across storage, configuration and scaling using large datasets. the proposed model contains two parts, the first one is used for specifying and extracting the faces using the Haar Cascade classifier, and the second one considers the core part that extracts features from facial images for classification. As a result, the average speed of a multi-GPU is about 2.7 times faster than the GPU and about 3.2 times faster than the CPU. Also, according to our evaluation results, the training time obtained using multiple GPUs and multiple processes is much smaller than that obtained using a single GPU single process. Parallel training on multiple GPUs improves GPU resource utilization and training throughput. This model reflects significant accuracy compared to the other commonly used methods from relevant articles by achieving an Accuracy score of 99.5%.

Energy Consumption Analyzing in Single hop Transmission and Multi-hop Transmission for using Wireless Sensor Networks
...Show More Authors

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are emerging in various application like military, area monitoring, health monitoring, industry monitoring and many more. The challenges of the successful WSN application are the energy consumption problem. since the small, portable batteries integrated into the sensor chips cannot be re-charged easily from an economical point of view. This work focusses on prolonging the network lifetime of WSNs by reducing and balancing energy consumption during routing process from hop number point of view. In this paper, performance simulation was done between two types of protocols LEACH that uses single hop path and MODLEACH that uses multi hop path by using Intel Care i3 CPU (2.13GHz) laptop with MATLAB (R2014a). Intrusion Detection System for IoT Based on Modified Random Forest Algorithm
...Show More Authors

An intrusion detection system (IDS) is key to having a comprehensive cybersecurity solution against any attack, and artificial intelligence techniques have been combined with all the features of the IoT to improve security. In response to this, in this research, an IDS technique driven by a modified random forest algorithm has been formulated to improve the system for IoT. To this end, the target is made as one-hot encoding, bootstrapping with less redundancy, adding a hybrid features selection method into the random forest algorithm, and modifying the ranking stage in the random forest algorithm. Furthermore, three datasets have been used in this research, IoTID20, UNSW-NB15, and IoT-23. The results are compared with the three datasets men

The current research aims to build a training program for chemistry teachers based on the knowledge economy and its impact on the productive thinking of their students. To achieve the objectives of the research, the following hypothesis was formulated:

There is no statistically significant difference at (0.05) level of significance between the average grades of the students participating in the training program according to the knowledge economy and the average grades of the students who did not participate in the training program in the test of productive thinking. The study sample consisted of (288) second intermediate grade students divided into (152) for the control group

The aim of the current study is to create special norms of the second edition of Minnesota multi faces personality inventory, and the fifth edition of the sixteen personality factor questionnaire of catel. To this end, the researcher applied the Minnesota multi faces personality inventory over a sample of (1646) secondary and university students as well as plenty of disorders. She also applied the sixteen personality factor questionnaire of catel on (4700) secondary and university students. SPSS tools were used to process data.

Downlink Training Sequence Design Based on Waterfilling Solution for Low-Latency FDD Massive MIMO Communications Systems
...Show More Authors

Future generations of wireless communications systems are expected to evolve toward allowing massive ubiquitous connectivity and achieving ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) with extremely high data rates. Massive multiple-input multiple-output (m-MIMO) is a crucial transmission technique to fulfill the demands of high data rates in the upcoming wireless systems. However, obtaining a downlink (DL) training sequence (TS) that is feasible for fast channel estimation, i.e., meeting the low-latency communications required by future generations of wireless systems, in m-MIMO with frequency-division-duplex (FDD) when users have different channel correlations is very challenging. Therefore, a low-complexity solution for

Controversy between Mask and Text in the Literary Books Covers Design: عبدالحسين عبدالواحد
...Show More Authors

The reciprocal relationship between the text and the mask in the printed product is one of the most important relationships that frame the level of communication between the appearance and the interior, although it is not cared for by some designers and publishing institutions. Therefore, the problem of research is determined by the following question (What is the dialectical relationship between the text and the mask in the literary books covers design?). The research aims to shed light on this problematic relationship at the level of reception and aesthetics at the same moment. The theoretical framework included two sections: the first (mask and text ... the concept and the mutual relationship), while the second section (trends in the

Background: The World Health Organization was declared COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11, 2020. As a result, to keep the coronavirus under control, protective technique like face covering is required. Vaccination, on the other hand, is regarded as a preventative and effective measure. As nursing students play an important role in the future of nursing, their perception regarding wearing mask and taking vaccine can be crucial in preventive measures regarding COVID-19. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the perception of nursing students’ regarding wearing mask and coronavirus vaccines. Design: A descriptive correlational design was used to guide this study. Settings and Participants: A total of 255 undergraduate
