Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a proinflammatory cytokine implicated in the immunopathogenesis of tuberculosis (TB). TB is recognized worldwide as an important public health issue. To study the relationship between the age of patients with pulmonary TB and serum IL-6 levels, from the other hand, the severity of this disease with IL-6 levels. This study included 30 patients (16 female and 14 male) with pulmonary TB and 10 healthy persons (5 female and 5 male) as control group for comparison. An ELISA assay was used to quantify IL-6 in the sera. In this Research, (In2O3: CdO) films were prepared using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method on glass substrate at room temperature deposited at laser influence 500mJ/cm2with different shoots N= (200,300,400,500and600). the structural, and the optical properties and the films are studied with different annealing temperatures (523and 623) K. Optical measurements and the films were analyzed by UV-VIS absorption spectra. The structural properties of samples were investigated by x-ray diffraction patterns of the films and show that the films and polycrystalline Structure with all shoots. Transmittance spectrum found is equal to 93.17%, refractive index range is 1.635 and energy gap range is 2.75-3.15ev.
Some biological aspects of the zebra mussel, Dreissena polymorpha have been studied at Al-Musayab thermal power plant ,sixty km. south west of Baghdad. Data collected during the period extended from November, 2002 to October, 2003 except for the month of April The population consisted of five age groups; O, I, II, III, and IV which have 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 annuli respectively. The study also proved the validity of annuli readings for age and growth determination. The average annual growth rates for age groups O,I, II, III, and IV were 5.7, 5.5, 5.4, 5.2 and 5.4 respectively.
