Enhancing Motor Competence in Rhythmic Gymnastics: Effects of the Overlapping Waves Strategy in School‐Based Physical Education
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT
<title>Background

Rhythmic gymnastics offers a context for motor development. This study examined the association between the Overlapping Waves Strategy and traditional instruction in fundamental club skills.

Methods

A cluster‐allocated quasi‐experimental design (16 sessions) was implemented among 64 fifth‐grade female students. Participants received Overlapping Waves Strategy ( n  = 32) or conventional instruction ( n  = 32). Four skills were assessed by certified judges.

Results

Two‐way mixed ANOVA revealed significant group × time interactions (all p  < 0.001). The experimental group exhibited greater pre‐post performance gains than the control group.

Implications for School Health Policy, Practice, and Equity

The strategy provides a structured pedagogical framework for physical education, suggesting potential feasibility, though limited by the specific single‐setting and demographic parameters, and policy recommendations remain premature without broader replication.

Conclusion

Preliminary findings indicate greater short‐term execution of club skills in the experimental classroom. Classroom‐level confounding cannot be excluded. Replication in cluster‐randomized designs with retention measures is required.

The research aims to: build and record a measure of cognitive participation among second-year female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey style for the research sample. The sample was selected from female students and divided into: (10) female students for the survey sample, and (80) female students for the construction and codification sample. The data were statistically analyzed by the researchers using SPSS, the T-test for independent and correlated samples, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha, Chi-square, and Spearman-Brown. They were recruited for the samples. The study concluded that constr

Effects of an augmented motor reality–based training program on spatial awareness and skill-based decision making in youth basketball players
...Show More Authors

New sports technologies have highlighted the importance of perceptual – cognitive training in order to optimize performance in sports e.g., dynamic team sport such as basketball. Augmented motor reality AMR is a new training model based on realistic movement combined with interactive virtual cues that may be useful to enhance spatial orientation and decision making. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an AMR-based training program on spatial awareness and skill-based decision making in youth basketball players. Twenty-four male young basketball players aged 15.2±0.8 years were randomized to the experimental group n=12, receiving AMR training, and control group n=12, performing conventional practice. A security system can be defined as a method of providing a form of protection to any type of data. A sequential process must be performed in most of the security systems in order to achieve good protection. Authentication can be defined as a part of such sequential processes, which is utilized in order to verify the user permission to entree and utilize the system. There are several kinds of methods utilized, including knowledge, and biometric features. The electroencephalograph (EEG) signal is one of the most widely signal used in the bioinformatics field. EEG has five major wave patterns, which are Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Every wave has five features which are amplitude, wavelength, period, speed and frequency. The linear
