Estimating Parametersof Gumbel Distribution For Maximum Values By using Simulation

In this research estimated the parameters of Gumbel distribution Type 1 for Maximum values through the use of two estimation methods:- Moments (MoM) and Modification Moments(MM) Method. the Simulation used for comparison between each of the estimation methods to reach the best method to estimate the parameters where the simulation was to generate random data follow Gumbel distributiondepending on three models of the real values of the parameters for different sample sizes with samples of replicate (R=500).The results of the assessment were put in tables prepared for the purpose of comparison, which made depending on the mean squares error (MSE).

Prediction of Daily Maximum Air Temperature for Transitional Seasons by Statistical Methods in Baghdad

Predicting the maximum temperature is of great importance because it is related to various aspects of life, starting from people’s lives and their comfort, passing through the medical, industrial, agricultural and commercial fields, as well as concerning global warming and what can result from it. Thus, the historical observations of maximum and minimum air temperature, wind speed and relative humidity were analyzed in this work. In Baghdad, the climatic variables were recorded on clear sky days dawn at 0300 GMT for the period between (2005-2020). Using weather station's variables multiple linear regression equation, their correlation coefficients were calculated to predict the daily maximum air temperature for any day during

Hepatitis G virus infection among Iraqi patients on maintenance hemodialysis

Background: Patients on maintenance hemodialysis are at increased risk of infection with parentally transmitted viral agents. In recent years a high prevalence of hepatitis G virus infection among end stage renal diseases and chronic hemodialysis patients has been well documented.
Objectives: To assess the percentage and risk factors of HGV in hemodialysis patients, and to evaluate the clinical consequences of HGV in this population.
Patients and methods: Fifty (50) patients with chronic renal failure who underwent maintenance hemodialysis. Patients were currently attending hemodialysis department of Baghdad teaching hospital during the period of October 2011 to January 2012, compared to forty one (41) healthy blood donors who unde

Material and method: The human sample consisted of five hundred and ninety eight students, 208 males and 390 females. Russel's periodontal index (PI) plaque index (PI. I) and the periodental treatment need system (PTNS) were scored.
Results: The mean PI and P1.I for males were 1.94, 1.72 respectively. For females the corresponding values were 1.73. 1.49. From the total sample 2.4% males and 6.1% females were in no need of periodontal therapy.A comparison between first and final year students showed for

Evaluation of Plasma-microRNA320 level among Colorectal Cancer Iraqi Patients

Colorectal cancer (CRC) Patients showed different expression patterns of miRNAs which are involved in carcinogenesis in comparison to healthy controls individuals, miRNAs are involved in tumor progression and development of metastases. We investigate the expression profile of microRNA 320 and to quantify the expression level abundance among colorectal cancer patients in comparison to the healthy control group. The A total number of 60 plasma samples was collected from CRC patients along with 40 plasma samples from healthy controls and subjected to relative quantification using qPCR assay with a specified set of primers designed using s
