Oil from Brassca campestris (local variety) was extracted with hexane using Soxhlet. The extracted oil was characterized and its antimicrobial activity was determined as well. The content of extracted oil was 40% with 0.5% of volatile oil .Oil was immiscible with polar solvent such as ethanol, acetone and water, while it was easily miscible with chloroform due to its hydrophobicity. The result of organoleptic tests revealed that the oil is clear yellow in color and odorless with acceptable taste. The oil was stable at 4 -25 C? for a month. This study aimed to extraction of essential oil from peppermint leaves by using hydro distillation methods. In the peppermint oil extraction with hydro distillation method is studied the effect of the extraction temperature to the yield of peppermint oil. Besides it also studied the kinetics during the extraction process. Then, 2^nd -order mechanism was adopted in the model of hydro distillation for estimation many parameters such as the initial extraction rate, capacity of extraction and the constant rat of extraction with various temperature. The same model was also used to estimate the activation energy. The results showed a spontaneous process, since the  Gibbs free energy had a value negative sign.

Evaluating a reservoir to looking for hydrocarbon bearing zones, by determining the petrophysical properties in two wells of the Yamama Formation in Siba field using Schlumberger Techlog software. Three porosity logs were used to identify lithology using MN and MID cross plots. Shale volume were calculated using gamma ray log in well Sb-6ST1 and corrected gamma ray in well Sb-5B. Sonic log was used to calculate porosity in bad hole intervals while from density log at in-gauge intervals.
