The result showed that hot water and ethanol extracts of Nigella sativa contain alkaloids ,saponins, flavonoids,tannins,glycosides,terpins and steroids. Albino mice were administered orally with 0.1 of the extract at dose of 100 mg/kg, body weight the results showed high level of white blood cell ,total and differential count of WBC,phagocytosis index, mitotic index, Arthus and delayed type hypersensitivity. The result, also showed high level of hemoglobin (Hb) and the packed cell volume (PCV) the alcoholic extract has been found more efficient than hot water extract on mice.

Samples of tea leaves (Green tea, Gugarate tea and Black tea used commonly in Iraq) are dried, grinded, pressed and submitted for the elemental analysis by x-ray fluorescence technique (XRF). The concentrations of major, minor and trace elements are determined. The major elements were Na, Mg, Al, K, Si, Ca, Mn, Fe, S and P. Of these elements, Ca, concentration in Gugarate tea leaves is three times, it's level in the other types of tea. Titanium, Cl, Rb and Sr are found as minor elements, while other elements such as Cu, Zn, V, Cr, Co, ...etc are found as trace elements. Plasma physics and digital image processing technique (DIPT) were utilized in this research to show the effect of the cold plasma (plasma needle) on blood cells. The second order statistical features were used to study this effect. Different samples were used to reach the aim of this paper; the patients have leukemia and their leukocytes number was abnormal. By studying the results of statistical features (mean, variance, energy and entropy), it is concluded that the blood cells of the sample showed a good response to the cold plasma.

Background: Oral mucositis is regarded as one of the major complications of radiation therapy especially in patients with head and neck cancer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of glutamine in preventing or minimizing the development of mucositis of the oral cavity.
