The reaction of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PV A) with Urea in (DMSO) resulted in uerthanised oxim, wr,ich reacted with diacetylmonoxime in a (DY.ISOfmethanol) to give anew type (N2) polymeric bidentate imine oxime ligand [HL], The ligand was reacted with MCh (where M= Co, Cu, and Hg). Under reflux in a (DMF/Methanol) mixture with (I:1) ratio to give Complexes of the general formula [M (T.)2]X, (where M= Co,Hg, Cu). All .:ompouncs have been characterized by spectroscopic methods [IR, U.V.-Vis, A tomi<;absorption] microanalysis along with conductivity measurements, from the above:: data the proposed molecular structure for Co,Cu, and Hg is a distorted. New series of metal ions complexes have been prepared from the new ligand [4-Amino-N-(5- methyl-isaxazol-3-yl)-benzenesulfonamide] derived from Sulfamethoxazole and 3-aminophenol. Accordingly, mono-nuclear Mn(II), Fe(III), Co (II), and Rh(III) complexes were prepared by the reaction of previous ligand with MnCl2.4H2O, CoCl2.6H2O, FeCl3.6H2O and RhCl3H2O, respectively. The compounds have been characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis), mass, 1H-, and 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra and thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA& DSC) curve, Bohr magnetic (B.M.), elemental microanalyses, metal ions, chloride containing, and molar conductance. These reviews uncovered octahedral geometries for complex

The (E)-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-5-((8-hydroxy quinolin-5-yl)diazenyl)-2-methoxybenzamide azo ligand (L) has been synthesized through the reaction of diazonium salt for 5-amino-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino) ethyl)-2-methoxybenzamide with 8-hydroxyquinoline and identified azo ligand (L) using spectroscopic studies (FTIR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13CNMR, mass), and micro-elemental analysis (C.H.N). Metal chelates of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), as well as Zn(II) have been completed as well as characterized using mass spectra, flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis (C.H.N), infrared, UV-Vis spectroscopy, as well as conductivity, magnetic measurements. The metal-to-ligand ratio in all complexes, as determined by analytical data, was 1:2 and ex

... Show MoreThis paper concerns is the preparation and characterization of a bidentate ligand [4-(5,5- dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex-1-enylamino)-N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl) benzene sulfonamide]. The ligand was prepared from fusing of sulfamethoxazole and dimedone at (140) ºC for half hour. The complex was prepared by refluxing the ligand with a bivalent cobalt ion using ethanol as a solvent. The prepared ligand and complex were identified using Spectroscopic methods. The proposed tetrahedral geometry around the metal ions studied were concluded from these measurements. Both molar ratio and continuous variation method were studied to determine metal to ligand ratio (M:L). The M to L ratio was found to be (1:1). The adsorption of cobalt complex was carried out
