The modification of hydrophobic rock surfaces to the water-wet state via nanofluid treatment has shown promise in enhancing their geological storage capabilities and the efficiency of carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) containment. Despite this, the specific influence of silica (SiO2) nanoparticles on the interactions between H2, brine, and rock within basaltic formations remains underexplored. The present study focuses on the effect of SiO2 nanoparticles on the wettability of Saudi Arabian basalt (SAB) under downhole conditions (323 K and pressures ranging from 1 to 20 MPa) by using the tilted plate technique to measure the contact angles between H2/brine and the rock surfaces. The findings reveal that the SAB's hydrophobicity intensifies in the presence of organic acids, with significant increases in both advancing (θa) and receding (θr) contact angles upon exposure to organic acid at 323 K and 20 MPa. Contrastingly, the application of SiO2 nanoparticles under these conditions results in a marked shift towards hydrophilicity, with θa and θr decreasing substantially, thus indicating an optimal nanoparticle concentration (0.1 wt% SiO2) for effecting the transition from H2-wet to water-wet states. This change in wettability aligns with the known pressure-dependent behavior of contact angles. Moreover, the treatment of organically-aged basalt with 0.1 wt% SiO2 nanofluids at 20 MPa and 323 K enhances the H2 column height significantly, from −424 m to 4340 m, suggesting a reduced risk of H2 migration across the caprock and thereby enhancing both the structural/residual trapping and containment security of H2 within the basaltic formations of Saudi Arabia. This article highlights the crucial role of SiO2 nanofluids in improving the efficacy of H2 storage in basalt, offering a new insight towards the optimization of geological storage solutions for hydrogen, a critical component in the transition to a sustainable energy future.
Fast economical developments in the US. in second half of nineteenth century contained many social results, such as increasing of stealing and killing crimes and expand of Labor strikes, which resulted in violence actions, and presented acceptable reason for emergence specialist security agencies, first of them "Pinkerton Agency". which played important role in all of that, besides that .. its role in American Civil War such as discovering an attempt to kill elected republican president Abraham Lincoln. This research studied all that aspects, focused on period of 1850 - 1899 of agency's history.
The current research aims to identify the level of strategic orientation and its dimensions (vision, mission, goals, and values) in the Iraqi National Security Service (INSS). The researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach as one of the forms of analysis and organized scientific interpretation to describe a specific phenomenon or problem, adopting the form questionnaire being the main source in collecting data and preparing for this. Based on the program of the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS 26) to analyze the data and come up with the final research results to identify the opinions of the intended sample on the subject of research, and the questionnaire of (20) paragraphs included the search variable, and was

The aim of this paper is to for the evaluate and assess the of chemical safety procedures and chemical policies in academic laboratories using statistical questionnaire. A form is written, suggested two main parts, safety and security. Safety part includes three classes, hardware requirements, training and application of safety procedures. the second part is security. The form design is based on four points Likert scale. T
The military presence in the Gulf region after the British withdrawal from it in 1971 was one of the most important pillars of the American strategy to climb the ladder of global leadership, as the geostrategic features that the region enjoyed provided factors of controlling energy sources and global trade routes. The United States of America guarantees Western Europe and Japan the process of access to energy sources and the exclusion of its opponents from the region, especially the Soviet Union, and the growing American military presence in the Gulf after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. On the other hand, the region experiences many contradictions, some of which threaten its security, such as the exacerbation of disputes between its count

TiO2 titania nanotube arrays (NTAs) are commonly used in photoelectrochemical cells as the photoelectrode due to their high surface area, excellent charge transfer between interfaces and fewer interfacial grain boundaries. The anodization technique of titanium foil was used to prepare TiO2 NTAs photoelectrode. The concentration of CdCl2 played an important role in the formation of CdS nanoparticles. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) shows that the CdS nanoparticles were well deposited onto the outer and inner of nanotube at 40 mM of CdCl2. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analyses wer

This project aims to replace the brain signal classification for language processing tasks by achieving the higher accuracy and speed process. Features extraction is performed using a modified Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) in this study which increases the capability of capturing signal characteristics appropriately by decomposing EEG signals into significant frequency components. A Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm method is applied to improve the results and select the optimal features which achieves more accurate results by selecting impactful features with maximum relevance

The second algorithm concentrates on the contrast at edge points and correlation method as the criteria parameter for the resulted image quality. This algorithm considers three blocks with different sizes at the homogenous region and moves it 10 pixels within the same homogenous region. These blocks examine the statistical properties of the block and decide automatically the next step. The resulted combined image is better in the contras

Different attempts (included various materials) were conducted to proffer solutions to such defects by experimenting in practical ways. On one hand, these attempts aimed to improve the engineering characteristics of plastic soil, and on the other hand, to use problematic waste materials as a stabilizer, like cement kiln dust, and to reduce environmental hazards. This paper explored the shrinkage, plasticity, and strength behavior of plastic soil enhanced with cement dust. The cement dust contents were 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% by dry weight of soil.
