Image Signal Decomposition Using Polynomial Representation with Hybrid Lossy and Non-Lossy Coding Scheme

This article presents a polynomial-based image compression scheme, which consists of using the color model (YUV) to represent color contents and using two-dimensional polynomial coding (first-order) with variable block size according to correlation between neighbor pixels. The residual part of the polynomial for all bands is analyzed into two parts, most important (big) part, and least important (small) parts. Effective Image Watermarking Method Based on DCT

Most includeding techniques of digital watermark even now working through the direct inclusion in the pixel without taking into account the level of compression (attack) that can go wrong, which makes digital watermark can be discarded easily. Background: image processing of medical images is major method to increase reliability of cancer diagnosis.

Image Compression Using Proposed Enhanced Run Length Encoding Algorithm

In this paper, we will present proposed enhance process of image compression by using RLE algorithm. This proposed yield to decrease the size of compressing image, but the original method used primarily for compressing a binary images [1].Which will yield increasing the size of an original image mostly when used for color images. The test of an enhanced algorithm is performed on sample consists of ten BMP 24-bit true color images, building an application by using visual basic 6.0 to show the size after and before compression process and computing the compression ratio for RLE and for the enhanced RLE algorithm.

Bit-Plane Slicing Autoregressive Modeling for Medical Image Compression

In this paper, a simple medical image compression technique is proposed, that based on utilizing the residual of autoregressive model (AR) along with bit-plane slicing (BPS) to exploit the spatial redundancy efficiently. The results showed that the compression performance of the proposed techniques is improved about twice on average compared to the traditional autoregressive, along with preserving the image quality due to considering the significant layers only of high image contribution effects.
