The effect of thermal treatment on optical constants of pure PMMA and with addition (15 and 35) ml of coumarin at different temperatures (100, 110 and 120) C⁰ for 1 hour were investigated. Cast method used to prepares films of pure PMMA and PMMA with (15 and 35) of coumarin. UV/VIS spectrometer technique used to measure the absorption spectra for these films.          Serum adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity was determined in 30 blood sample of type 1 diabetic individuals 30 blood sample for the type 2 and 15 normal children as a control for type 1 15 normal adults as control for type 2. The mean ADA activity and specific activity in type 1 was (8.85± 5.55 U/mg of protein) which is compared with control (32.11± 1.54 U/mg of protein) while in type 2 was (48.46±11.91 U/mg of protein) is compared with control (5.18± 2.27 U/mg of protein ). We conclude that the altered blood level of ADA activity may help in predicting immunological dysfunction in diabetic individuals and also has a prognostic value.

A specific, sensitive and new simple method was used for the determination of methyldopa in pure and pharmaceutical formulations by using continuous flow injection analysis. This method is based on formation of ion pair compound between methyldopa and potassium hexacyanoferrate in acidic medium to obtain a yellow precipitate complex using long distance chasing photometer (NAG-ADF-300-2). The varied applications of polystyrene in various fields of life led to examining the cause of radiation influence on some rheological behavior of commercial Polystyrene (PS) solution in the chloroform (CHCl3) solvent. Polystyrene grains shape samples were irradiated using the radioactive element Cesium- 137 with (9 µci) activity for 10, 20, and 30 minutes. The viscosity of the polymer solution depends on the concentration and size (i.e. molecular weight) of the dissolved polymer. Experimental data showed that the radiation dose affected the value of viscosity (shear, relative, specific, and reduced).
