Rana Kadhim Mohammed received the B.Sc., the M.Sc., and the Ph.D. in Biotechnology, from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, in 2000, 2003, and 2011, respectively. She joined the University of Baghdad in 2003 as a lecturer in the College of Science. She obtained a promotion to Assistant professor in June 2017, then full Professor in Oct. 2022. She has been a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Waterloo University, Canada, from March 2009 to March 2010. She obtained the doctoral tutor qualification in 2017. She is the author or co-author of over 50 research publications and 2 patents. Her primary research interests are gene technology, molecular biology, biochemical techniques, bioinformatics, gene transfer, biosensors, and nanoparticles.
