I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Baghdad in 2008. I worked at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad as a teaching assistant in the Department of pharmacognosy. I obtained a Master's degree in pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants in 2016 from the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad.

Research Interests

I am particularly interested in pharmacognosy, which focuses on the study of drugs derived from natural sources such as plants and microbes. This science includes studying the physical and chemical properties of drugs, in addition to searching for new drugs from natural sources.

Eriobotrya japonica Lindl., named as loquat, is a subtropical fruit tree of the family Rosaceae which is well known medical plant originated in  Japan and China. Detection of Epicatechin in Camellia sinensis Leaves by Thin Layer Chromatography and High Performance Liquid Chromatography Techniques

    The current study performed in order to detect and quantify epicatechin in two tea samples of Camellia sinensis (black and green tea) by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Celery and coriander are vastly applied in modern medicine and traditionally because various medicinal and nutritional benefits depend on their medicinal characteristics.
