Summary

I graduated with a degree of Bachelor in pharmacy from the University of Baghdad in 1997 and then went to the hospital lobbies of Ministry of Health for training and then I had come back to the College of Pharmacy as a tauter in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department and then I had been accepted for the postgraduate study in the same department and I had been gaining the Master degree in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Nadhum Ismaeel in 2003. I had went to the West Point Academy, New York for the first faculty exchange with university of Baghdad in 2004. I worked as a faculty member in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department since 2004 till now. Also I had worked in the private Baghdad College of Pharmacy and in the Pharmacy departments of Al-Israa and Al-Rafidain Colleges. I was a participants in the qualification exam committee for the private Pharmacy Department in the Mustafa College.

Research Interests

My interest is about both the organic chemical synthesis part for either modification of certain molecules to get new derivatives possibly applied as prodrugs or as biologically new active intact derivatives or modification of certain method of synthesis and the analysis part for either modifying certain procedure steps to be cancelled making the method more economic, fast and liable but with the same efficient outputs or finding a new reliable summarized pathways of analysis.

It is educational and scientific research at the pharmaceutical chemistry specialization. The research field is about the advanced design, chemical synthesis and the technical and instrumental qualitative and quantitative analysis

Synthesis and Evaluating the Antimicrobial Activities of Various Adducts Prepared from Isatins and Proline

Accordingly, this research is about introducing some isatins to be nucleophilically attacked at C3 forming products of azomethine ylide functionality. These iminium compounds were made by allowing certain isatins to be reacted with the secondary amino acid, proline, at acetic acid and methanol medium and then collected after purification to be identified with total Leukocyte count (TLC) and melting point.
