Investigation of Virulence Factors in Resistance and Sensitive Pseudomonas aeruginosa Clinical Isolates
...Show More Authors

The pathogen "Pseudomonas aeruginosa" is extremely hazardous for people with weak immune systems because it has several virulence factors and can resist antibiotics. During the time period between October 2022 and February 2023, 102 specimens from different clinical sources, including burn, mid-stream urine, wound, ear, and sputum were collected. From 102 clinical specimens, only 33 isolates (32.35%) of P. aeruginosa were identified by Phenotypic characteristics, a biochemical test, the Vitek-2 compact system, and confirmed by Conventional Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The antibiotic susceptibility test AST was done by the Vitek 2-Compact system. The highest resistance percentages were for Cephalosporin category at 8

Development and Characterization of Chitosan Nanoparticles Loaded with Amoxicillin as Advanced Drug Delivery Systems against Streptococcus Mutans
...Show More Authors

This study's primary objective was to create nanotechnology-based, precisely regulated drug delivery devices. Antibiotic Amoxicillin was chosen, and chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) were chosen to transport the medicine. Using the ionic gelation process, chitosan solution NPs were synthesized using tripolyphosphate (TPP). Antibiotic-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) were then used to create a nanocomposite with good performance. The resultant nanocomposite can be put to use as an effective, non-toxic antimicrobial agent. CMCS has a considerably wider range of uses as an anti-bacterial agent than chitosan since it is soluble in a wide pH range. Due to its water solubility, Ten S. mutans isolates were purified in two mediums, making it e

Leuciscidae species are the abundant and widely distributed fish species in Iraq's inland waters. They are complex species, and morphology makes them difficult to identify. Molecular analysis achieved and confirmed the morphological characters. Twenty specimens of Acanthobrama marmid were collected from two localities at Tigris River, in the middle of Iraq; 15 specimens from the Al-Zubaydia sub-district and five specimens from Al-Tharthar Lake. We used the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome b (cytb) gene to sequence the DNA of A. marmid. The following analysis are compared the sequences with those of other fish genera and species found in the Gene Bank. The barcoding result (DNA sequencing) in fishes found in the sam

Measurement of Several Hematological and Serological Parameters in Patients with Scabies

People often refer to scabies as the "7-year itch," but it is more appropriate to refer to it as a "family disease" (1, 15). Scabies mites penetrate the stratum corneum epidermis of the skin at the onset of infection (2, 16). The current study involved the collection of blood samples from a patient group infected with scabies disease, comprising sixty individuals, and a control group of sixty individuals who were in good health. The tests showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the scabies patients and the control group for Hb (12.86± 0.31, 12.88± 0.20), PCV (34.40±0.94, 40.35±0.59), and platelets (244.80±9.58, 237.23±8.97), Respectively. Proteus mirabilis is one of the most common Gram-negative bacteria that can cause UTIs. The purpose of this research was to identify virulence genes in P. mirabilis strains obtained from the urine of Iraqi patients diagnosed with urinary tract infections. From October 2022 to February 2023, AL-Imam Ali Hospital collected 100 urine specimens from patients exhibiting symptoms and signs of UTI. All specimens were identified based on morphological characteristics on media of culture like pale, non-lactose ferment colonies on MaCconkey agar, swarming on blood agar, and salmonella shigella agar for hydrogen sulfide production, more diagnosed via utilizing molecular detection and the VITEK system, giving positive resu

Antioxidant, Antimicrobial and Spectroscopic Discussion of Guanine Azo Ligand with Cu(II) and Ag (I) Complexes
...Show More Authors

In this paper, we have provided a very thorough analysis of a new novel chelate metal ion complex of [Cu(II),Ag(I)] prepared via the interaction with the ligand{ 2-amino-8-((4-chloro-3-hydroxyphenyl) diazenyl)azo]guanine} [LAAG], which is synthesized by diazo coupling of the 5-amino-2-chlorophenol with amino acid guanine. The ligand and its complexes are identified by a variety of techniques, like [HNMR, FTIR, and Uv-vis] spectral, thermal analysis (TGA), and element analyses (CHN). The molar ratio was achieved so that the Cu(II) complex has (1:2) (M:L) with octahedral geometry; however, the Ag(I) complex has (1:1) (M:L) with tetrahedral geometry, and the ligand acts as neutral N,N-bidentate; as well as the ligand (LAAG) and its complexe

Carbamazepine (CBZ) is an antiepileptic medication (AED) intended to treat epilepsy, although it is also used to treat psychiatric problems and neuropathic pain. CBZ use has been linked to male reproduction problems such as hormonal changes, sexual problems, and sperm quality loss in addition to its effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. The present study aimed to check the potential consequences of carbamazepine on the histology of the testis. In this experiment, 24 adult males of Swiss albino mice were divided into four groups. The control group was gavaged with distilled water, and the others were treated with carbamazepine orally administered with 0.1 ml of a daily dose of concentrations (2.5, 5 and 10) mg/kg bw for

Two flow injection analysis (FIA) methods were suggested for determination of mesalazine (MES) in pharmaceutical forms. Normal and reverse FIA systems (nFIA and rFIA) combined with UV-Vis spectrophotometric technique were used for the analysis. The methods involved using two mods of FIA systems for measuring a colored product result from coupling of MES with 2,2'-dihydroxybiphenyl after oxidized with sodium periodate in alkaline medium. The absorbance of the red colored dye was measured at maximum wavelength of 500 nm. The calibration graphs for MES were linear in the ranges 2.5-200 and 0.5-60 µg/mL with

Solving Quadratic Assignment Problem by Using Meta-heuristic Search Method

While analytical solutions to Quadratic Assignment Problems (QAP) have indeed been since a long time, the expanding use of Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) for similar issues gives a framework for dealing with QAP with an extraordinarily broad scope. The study's key contribution is that it normalizes all of the criteria into a single scale, regardless of their measurement systems or the requirements of minimum or maximum, relieving the researchers of the exhaustively quantifying the quality criteria. A tabu search algorithm for quadratic assignment problems (TSQAP) is proposed, which combines the limitations of tabu search with a discrete assignment problem. The effectiveness of the proposed technique has been compared to well-established a
