In this paper, artificial neural networks, namely multilayer perceptron (MLP) and radial basis function (RBF) are used to detect humans among different objects in a sequence of frames (images) using classification approach. The classification used is based on the shape of the object instead of depending on the contents of the frame. Initially, background subtraction is depended to extract objects of interest from the frame, then statistical and geometric information are obtained from vertical and horizontal projections of the objects that are detected to stand for the shape of the object. Next to this step, two ty

Complex systems in the real world have networks differ significantly from random graphs and have non-trivial structures. In fact, they have a community structure that needs to be recognized and recovered. The stochastic block models (SBMs) are popular models for community detection in networks, where nodes are divided into groups based on their connectivity patterns. Maximum likelihood estimation is a common method for estimating the parameters of SBMs. In this paper, a model selection for stochastic block models is presented based on the optimization of the log-likelihood function to find the best number of communities K detected by the regularized convex modularity maximization method. This work deals with many assumptions on K because

For the first time, the life cycle of Neoechinorhynchus iraqensis, a parasite of Liza abu and other freshwater fishes in Iraq and its larval development in the intermediate host, the copepod Cyclops hyalinus was given. Hatching took place in the intestine of the copepod host within 10 minutes of exposure to the infective eggs. Motile acanthor penetrated the wall of the intestine within 2-4 hr. after exposure and was found free in the hemocoel where it metamorphoses through the acanthella stage. Acanthella stage revealed changes in the entoblast where the anterior section gave rise to brain, proboscis and proboscis receptacle. In the last decade, the web has rapidly become an attractive platform, and an indispensable part of our lives. Unfortunately, as our dependency on the web increases so programmers focus more on functionality and appearance than security, has resulted in the interest of attackers in exploiting serious security problems that target web applications and web-based information systems e.g. through an SQL injection attack. SQL injection in simple terms, is the process of passing SQL code into interactive web applications that employ database services such applications accept user input such as form and then include this input in database requests, typically SQL statements in a way that was not intende
