              The purpose of this project is to build a scientific base and computational programs in an accelerator design work. The transfer of group of laws in alinear accelerator cavity to computer codes written in Fortran power station language is inorder to get a numerical calculation of an electromagnetic field generated in the cavities of the linear accelerator. The program in put contains mainly the following, the geometrical cavity constant, and the triangular finite element method high – order polynomial. The out put contains vertical and horizontal components of the electrical field together with the electrical and the magnetic field intensity.

Identification the Effective Compounds of Pumpkin Seeds and its Possibility of Application in Some Food Products

This study included the use of local pumpkin seeds of Iraqi origin, which were examined in the Seed Examination and Certification Department. It was found that they are from the plant family Cucurbitaceae Jass, and their exact scientific name is Cucuriba pepo L. This study aims to use the local Iraqi pumpkin seeds and study their effective compounds to apply these seeds to some foods. The pumpkin seeds were dried at room temperature after they were peeled, cleaned, and washed. The fiber and proximate analysis were conducted. After that, the aqueous and alcoholic extraction of the defatted and non-defatted pumpkin seeds was carried out to detect the active compounds such as tannins, glycosides, coumarins, flavonoids, resins, and saponins.

The crystal lattice constants (a, b, and c) were calculated based on the crystal lattice properties. Extraction, Identification and Determination of di-(2ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP) Plasticizer in Some Stored Blood Samples Bags Using Different Spectroscopic Techniques.

   The di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) was extracted using different solvents from plastic blood bag. The extracted product was identified using FT-IR, NMR (1H and 13C), DEPT, COSY, HMBC and HSQC_TOCSY spectrometry. The extracted plasticizer was tested in complex formation with Fe2+ and Cr3+ using UV-visible spectrophotometric method. The migration of the plasticizer from the blood bags to the blood was studied and determined during different storage times depending upon the formation of complexes with Fe2+ and Cr3+, and the change in the concentration of Fe2+ and Cr3+.

Synthesis of New 10-Amido phenoxazine Derivatives

     This work includes synthesis of new phenoxazine derivatives containing N-substituted phenoxazine starting from phenoxazine (1).10-nitrosyl phenoxazine was prepared through the reaction of phenoxazine with sodium nitrite to give compound (2), which reacted with zinc in acetic acid to give 10-amino phenoxazine (3). Condensation of compound (3) with benzoyl chloride, isovaleryl chloride and 4-bromophenacyl chloride gave 10-amido phenoxazine derivatives (4-6).

Detection of Cellular and Molecular Toxicity of Aloe vera Gel Crude Extract on the Roots of the Allium cepa

    The cellular and molecular toxicity effect  of Aloe Vera crude extract on meristem cells of onion  (Allium cepa)  roots were studied  . Different concentrations of this crude extract   20% ,10% ,5%   ,2% ( and 40%) were used at different periods ; 24 ,48 and 72 hour . Number of  chromosomal aberrations and the mitotic index was calculated . In addition, the genetic effects were observed by  using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA ( RAPD ) technique . The results  showed that the gel crud extract of Aloe vera  had inhibition effects on the growth of the onion roots with 10% EC50  value.
