Detection of Some Virulence Factors in Candida albicans Obtained From Different Clinical Specimens of Iraqi Patients
...Show More Authors

The Candida albicans is a diploid polymorphic yeast that is found as part of the normal microbial flora in most healthy humans. It’s usually a harmless colonizer of mucosal surfaces; it can, however, cause disease in the case where the host suffers from a weakened immune system or is immunocompromised. The present investigation was carried out to detect and investigate the prevalence of some virulence factors, which include coagulase production, biofilm formation, and phospholipase distribution among Candida albicans isolated from different clinical samples, including oral cavity and respiratory tract, which were collected from May to August 2022 and numbered 280 of different ages and genders of Iraqi patients suspect

Synthesis and Spectral Study of New Guanine Derivative (N-((6-Oxo-6,9-Dihydro-1H-Purin-2-yl)Carbamothioyl)Propionamide) and its Complexes with Some Metals Ion
...Show More Authors

This study included the preparation and characterization of the new guanine derivative (N-((6-oxo-6,9-dihydro-1H-purin-2-yl)carbamothioyl)propionamide), with an exciting chemical structure. The guanine part is a bicyclic heterocyclic base that is connected to a carbamothioyl group by a propionamide linker. This nitrogenous base derivative is prepared in two steps: The first step involves the synthesis of propionyl isothiocyanate from the reaction of propionyl chloride with ammonium thiocyanate in acetone. In contrast, the second step consists of the reaction of ammonium thiocyanate with guanine to obtain the ligand. The study also includes the preparation of new complexes of metal ions (Mn+2, Co+2, Ni+2,

Study of Some Physical Properties of the Superconducting Compound PbBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ
...Show More Authors

To analyze the structural properties of the PbBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ sample, an X-ray diffraction analyzer was used. The results showed that the compound has a tetragonal crystal structure. The crystal lattice constants (a, b, and c) were calculated based on the crystal lattice properties. The crystal size was calculated by four different methods (Scherrer, Williamson-Hall, Halder-Wagner, and size-strain plot), and the best result of  C. S = 88.49 nm was for the Halder-Wagner method among other methods. The titration method was used for the samples to find out the percentages of oxygen content (δ). It was found that the oxygen content was (δ = 0.279). Four probes method was used to determine the tra

New complexes were synthesized from a newly prepared Schiff base ligand (L2) derived from malonic acid dihydrizde and 2- pyridine carboxaldehyde. The 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectra demonstrated all the needed peaks to prove the chemical structure of the synthesized ligand (L2). Utilizing mass spectroscopy, the molecular ion peak was found at m/e 310, confirming the formula weight for L2, which matches the estimated m+ value (310.12). Accordingly, its Mn (II) and Co (II) complexes were trainedusing glacial acetic acid as a catalyst. These compounds were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, C.H.N., chloride-containing, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, and atomic absorption. The chara

Due to high blood sugar over long periods, the incidence and prevalence of type 2 diabetes are increasing throughout the world. Diabetic complications include microvascular and macrovascular complications that target the kidneys, nerves, eyes, and heart. Hence, the current study aimed to investigate the levels of (CTGF) and (TGF-β1) for both men and women and to demonstrate the effect of sex on it. In addition, some related biochemical factors in patients with diabetes and diabetic nephropathy are compared with those in healthy controls. The study included 120 males and females with an age range of (30-65) years old. Ninety patients with type 2 diabetes were subdivided into three groups on the basis of ACR criteria. A New Iterative Algorithms for Finite Family of Resolvent Operators
...Show More Authors

Depending on the needs and requirements of keeping up with the scientific procession, researchers tend to find new recurrence schemes or develop previous recurrence schemes that will help researchers reach the fixed point and solution of variational inequality. This article aims to provide novel approaches to finding a common fixed point of different types of important mappings and the set of zeros of maximal monotone operators. Also, we studied the weak and strong convergence of the proposed iterative method under some suitable conditions. To achieve this goal, we will introduce a new technical method of resolvent operators and metric projection using different types of function sequences, including sequence of maximal monotone operator

The Tigris River is the primary source of water for human consumption in Iraq and is the ultimate sink for wastewater generated by activities. This research was conducted between November 2021 and September 2022 using 15 physio-chemical parameters (pH, air and water temperature, EC, salinity, DO, BOD, TH, Ca+, Mg+, SO4, TDS, TSS, turbidity, and Chloride), two heavy metal parameters (Cr, and Al), and biological pollutants to analyze temporal and spatial variation and the effects of pollutants sources on the water quality of the Tigris River from the north to the south of Baghdad city. The results show that some values of the tested parameters were higher than Iraqi and WHO standards for the water river, which call for attention to be paid

Proteus mirabilis is considered the third most common cause of catheter-associated urinary tract infections. With urease production, the potency of the catheter’s blockage due to the formation of biofilm is significantly enhanced. This study was aimed at exploring whether green synthesized ZnO-CuO nanoparticles (ZnO-CuO NPs) can function as an anti-biofilm agent produced by P.Mirabilis. The characterization of biosynthesized nanoparticles was carried out to determine the chemical and physical properties of the product using AFM, TEM, FESEM, XRD, and UV visible spectrometry. The hexagonal structure was confirmed by XRD, the size range was marked at 96.00nm by TEM, and FESEM was used to confirm the surface morphology. A

A theoretical study of electronic characteristics based on charge transfer using quantum model N719 dye-sensitized contact with TiO2 in solar cells. The current density expression used to calculate the photovoltaic characteristics is assumed to be a continuum level of the N719 dye and TiO2 semiconductor in the heterojunction N719-TiO2 devices using the MATLAB program. The transition energy, current, fill factor, and efficiency of N719-TiO2 DSSCs are calculated based on quantum transition theory. The performance of DSSCs photovoltaic was estimated based on the I-V characteristics of the N719-TiO2 device using concentrations  at (100 mW/cm2) irradiation. Reproductive Dysfunction in Women with PCOS: A Review Article

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a significant cause of infertility due to ovulation dysfunction in women of childbearing age. Although the pathogenesis of PCOS is still not clear, many studies have shown that many factors within the ovary promote infection. With this syndrome, the disruption of the natural monthly ovulation process causes an imbalance in the body's hormones, and the high level of insulin in the body and the blood sugar imbalance leads to the occurrence of hyperandrogenism, which is the main factor for the occurrence of pathogens, in addition to genetic factors, if any. This study aims to identify this disease and its most important causes, symptoms, and modern treatments to prevent and get rid of it. Polycystic ovari
