Eight soil samples were selected around Najaf governorate at depth levels 40-50 cm. X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) was used to determine the concentrations of major and trace elements. Liner and mass attenuation coefficient (µ, µ_ρ) have been determined at gamma energies (662, 1172,1332) keV using NaI (Tl) detector. The range of linear attenuation coefficients for calculated samples were (0.553-1.163) cm^-1, (0.122-0.178) cm^-1 and (0.049-0.105) cm^-1 at (662, 1172,1332) keV respectively. evaporation technique on glass substrate at room temperature and treated at different
annealing temperatures (323, 373, 423)K of thickness (0.5)µm have been studied. The

   This paper presents an investigation of peristaltic flow of Bingham plastic fluid in an inclined tapered asymmetric channel with variable viscosity.     This paper includes the modification of the attapulgite  by precipitation of iron and aluminum compounds . Attapulgite (Atta) and modified attapulgite (Atta-m) clays are characterized by many  techniques ( FTIR , XRD ,SEM  with EDX ) .The  attapulgite clay before and after modification were used as the adsorbents for adsorption of methyl green (MG) . The results Indicate ,that the percentage of removal (MG) at equilibrium by using (Atta) and (Atta-m) clay were reached to  94% and 97% respectively. Indicating that the clay modification process was in addition to a relative improvement in the adsorption potential of the clay after modification.

This investigation was conducted to examine some physical and chemical properties of sand dunes collected from Basrah (1 '2 and 3) 'Nassiriya (4 and 5) and Amara (6) provinces that situated in lower Mesopotamia plain.

The results indicate clearly that the dominant particles in the samples were sand that were ranging from (81) % to (97) %, however the aggregated size of (0.1 - 0.25) mm were predominates in the investigated sand dunes of the region . Also the study shows that the content of the organic matter and potassium ions were very low (0.1- 0.4% '0.02 -0.22 meq I 100 gm soil. ZnxNi1-x-yCuyFe2O4 spinel ferrite were prepared using solid state reaction method with (y=0.1, x=0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 ) . X-ray diffraction with diffractometer CuKα analysis have been carried out and studied showing single phase spinel cubic with space group FD͞ 3m for all prepared samples . Lattice parameters and crystallite grain size and x-ray density(ρx-ray) bulk density and porosity ratio's were calculated and showed good agreement with the international data reported in the scientific research's.

   This paper applies the Modified Adomian Decomposition Method (MADM) for solving Integro-Differential Inequality, this method  is one of effective to construct analytic approximate solutions for linear and nonlinear integro-differential inequalities without solving many integrals and transformed or discretization. Several examples are presented, the analytic results show that this method is a promising and powerful for solving these problems.

 The present  paper agrees  with estimation of scale parameter θ of the Inverted Gamma (IG) Distribution when the shape parameter α is known (α=1), bypreliminarytestsinglestage shrinkage estimators using  suitable  shrinkage weight factor and region.  The expressions for the Bias, Mean Squared Error [MSE] for the proposed estimators are derived. The phagocytic activity of peritoneal and blood cells counts with neutrophils and monocytes were evaluated in albino mice treated wtth two antigen preparations (A and B) from group A streptococci (GAS). Antigen A included water bathed bacteria at 70 °C for 60 minutes, while in Antigen B the bacteria was autoclaved at 121° C for 15 minutes. The animals were treated with 12 intraperitoneal doses of the antigens with intervals of three days (36 days). The 12th dose was a challenge dose (live bacteria).  One hundred and fifteen isolates of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated from human infected wound and burn. The resistance of this organism for eight commonly used antibiotics was determined by disc diffusion methods.          The minimum inhibitory concentration MIC was determined for each drug by tube dilution method. Results showed significant variations in the MIC values. It was found that two isolates had high resistance for the eight antibiotics used. Effect of ascorbic acid on bacterial growth was studied singly and in combination with antibiotics. Reductions in MIC value were reported for different antibiotics when tested by growth curve method too.

The in vitro antimicrobial activity of Thymus vulgaris,Origanum vulgare and
Rosmarinus officinalis water extracts were studied against Streptococcus mutans,
Lactobacillus acidophilus and Candida albicans isolates two of each isolate. All cold water
extracts exhibited antimicrobial activity against all tested microorganisms. The largest zone of
inhibition was obtained against Candida albicans isolates. Streptococcus mutans isolates and

  In this study, bauxite and modified bauxite /polymer, which were prepared as an adsorbent surfaces to adsorption of the tetracycline from aqueous solutions. A series of adsorption experiments were conducted to determine the equilibrium time and temperature effect on the adsorption process. The results showed that adsorption was agreed with the Freundlich equation model for the surface of the bauxite.
