     This study was conducted to determine the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus infection rate among Iraqi dromedary camels and to explore its risk factor. A total of 167 blood samples were collected, ninety of them were selected randomly and included in the study from 50 males (55.6%) and 40 females (44.4%). The age range was 1-15 years. Samples were collected from Al Najaf-slaughter house. Sera were separated and tested for the presence of anti-MERS-CoV IgG using the recombivirus Camel anti-MERS-CoV spike protein S1 domain (MERS-S1) IgG ELISA kit. Prevalence of intestinal helminths in stray dogs of Kalar city / Sulaimani province

A total of 50 stray dogs, 26 males and 24 females from 3 different areas in Kalar city were killed and autopsied during the period from October 2005 till end of March 2006.The overall infection rates with cestodes and nematodes were 84% and 36%, respectively. No trematodes and acanthacephalans were found in the intestine of the dogs.The rate of infection was 75% in area around abattoir, 92.85% in areas of the periphery of Kalar and 95% in the city center.The following cestodes were identified: Taenia spp. (78%), Dipylidium caninum (26%), Diphylobothrium latum (2%) and Mesocestoides sp. (2%). Only two intestinal nematodes, Toxocara sp. and Ancylostoma caninum were recovered with prevalence rates of 36% and 2%, respectively.

General survey on the epidemic hydatidosis in Equidae

A general survey was implemented on the hydatid cyst disease in Equidae duing the period from 1\11\2001 till 31\10\2002. The results showed that the infection rate was 7.8% by examining 242 animals, 156 males and 86 females. The rate of hydatid cysts infection reached 8.3% in males and6.97%in females. The livers were the most infected organ by parasitic rate of 68.42% ,in livers and lungs together was 26.31% while in lung was 5.26%.
A198 hydatid cysts were isolate from donkeys livers with rate of 59.59%, from livers and lungs with rate of 38.33% while the isolation rate from lung was 1.5% .

stool examination and precipitation methods were performed on each specimen, the infection rate of
Hymenolpes nana 1.8% among children for both Gender(male and female) for different ages that had
been recorded the highest rate for (4- 6)year is 2.94% and the lowest rate for (9-12)year is 1.4%.

The clinical, microbiologic and pathologic findings of swollen head syndrome in broiler chickens in Iraq are reported in this study. A consistent clinical feature of this syndrome was swelling of the face. The facial subcutaneous tissue, conjunctivae and nictitating membranes were edematous. Microscopically, there was acute or chronic dermatitis and cellulitis characterized by necrosis of the dermis and subcutaneous tissues, with infiltration by heterophils in acute cases and by macrophages and giant célls in chronic cases. Esherichia coli was constatnly isolated from the facial subcutaneous tissue.

In this study a total of 60 samples of lived fishes (common carp) and frozen fishes were collected from 15 local markets in Baghdad city ,for isolation of Aeromonas hydrophila to determine the hemolytic ,cytotoxic activity of the isolates and their antibiotic susceptibility , 65% of our samples were found to be positive for Aeromonas hydrophila isolation 76.6% were in life fish samples and 53.3% in frozen fish 94.87% exhibited α and β hemolysis, 100% of life fish isolates show β hemolysis while frozen fish isolates show 85.7% β hemolysis and 14.3% α hemolysis , 97.43% of isolates show cytotoxic effect on Vero cells the highest frequency occur in the isolates of life fish group 60.50% , all isolates were 100% resistant to pencillin ,

To determine this objective (30) blood samples from pregnant female camels and (30) blood samples from non pregnant female camels was taken at last state of pregnancy (number of animals are 30 in each group) , blood samples were put in the test tubes contain anticoagulant (EDTA) , after centrifugation serum samples were taken for measurement of Malondialdehyde (MDA) , albumin , uric acid , total protein , alkaline phosphatase and urea concentrations.

A total of 100 animals were examined during the period of beginning of September - 2010 till the end of March 2011 at dept of Microbiology college of Veterinary Medicine Baghdad University Baghdad Iraq. These animals include 50 cow and 50 sheep.
