New Turbidimetric-Continuous Flow Injection Analysis Method for The Determination of Chlorpromazine HCl in Pharmaceutical Preparation Using Linear Array Ayah 5SX1-T-1D-CFI Analyser
...Show More Authors

A new turbidimetric-flow injection method is described for the determination of chlorpromazine HCl in pure and pharmaceutical preparation. The method is characterized by simplicity, sensitivity and fast, it is based on formation of ion pair compound between chlorpromazine HCl and Potassium hexacyanoferrate(III) in an acid medium for the formation of greenish yellow precipitate. This precipitate was determined using homemade Linear Array Ayah 5SX1-T-1D continuous flow injection analyser. Optimum concentrations of chemical reactants, physical instrumental conditions have been investigated. The linear dynamic range of chlorpromazine HCl was 3-30 mmol.L-1 while correlation coefficient (r) was 0.9929 and percentage linearity (%r2) C.O.D was 9

Microfacies Analysis of the Carbonate Rocks in Ora Formation (Late Devonian early Carboniferous) in North Iraq
...Show More Authors

The outcrop sections of Ora Formation (late Devonian-Early Carboniferous) in the Nazdor and Ora localities at the Northern Thrust Zone of Iraq were selected for this study. Lithologically the Ora Formation composed of clastic and carbonate rocks. The lower part in the Nazdor section cosists of crossbedded quartz arenite sandstone interbedded with successive laminated siltstone and shale. The lithology of the upper part in the Nazdor section and the upper part in Ora section, are composed of mixed silicalcastic (shale, siltstone and sandstone) and carbonate interbedded lithology. The petrographic study shows that the carbonate rocks consist of micrite and sparite groundmass. The skeletal grains include shallow water brachiopods, bryozoans

Some Protozoan Species Inhabiting the East Bank Sediment of River Tigris in Baghdad City
...Show More Authors

There are no researches in Iraq concerned identification and ecology of protozoa in sediment. The present study has been dealt with free-living protozoa community of the Tigris river bank sediment in Baghdad city. Variable species of vegetation (reeds and wild grasses) were observed to grow at both sides of the river.
For the present study three sites were chosen at the east side of river Tigris. Monthly samples were collected from the sediment of each site over a period from January to October 2012.Total of 22 taxa were found, 12 of ciliates, 5 of each flagellates and sarcodines in the sediment samples. The highest numbers of protozoan 15 taxa were recorded from each of the sites 1&3 and little less taxa (13) were found in site 2

The isolates were screened according to their capability for pectinase production, screening process identified the best pectinolytic isolate and it was characterized by cultural and biochemical, as Pesudomonas sp. Pectinolytic enzyme producing bacterium Pesudomonas sp. was isolated from the Iraqi soil on nutrient agar plate. Optimiztion of process parameters were carried out by altering some of environmental conditions of chemo-physical environment for the production medium. The highest pectinase production was observed at 48 hrs of incubation at 35 °C with the initial pH of 6.0. Different nutrients and environmental conditions were investigated in terms of their effect on the production of extracellular pectinase using citrus pectin a

This study investigated the potential of bacterial culture in bioremediation of gasoline pollutant soils. Klebsiella pneumoniae has shown a tremendous ability in bioremediation of gasoline. K.pneumoniae was isolated from three electrical generator pollutant soils with gasoline in different regions from Baghdad (Abu-Graib, Al-Khadra quarter and Al-Seleikh region. Bacteria was isolated and identified according to biochemical tests, with optimum temperature at 35°C and pH=5.
FTIR spectrum was tested the ability of the K.pneumoniae to biodegrade the gasoline according to the peak areas, which appeared and referred to degrade amino compounds at wave number 3000 cm-1 (2955.23, 2923.47) which refer to the C-H with amines compounds and decre

In this research, study the effect of sunspots on electromagnetic radio signals when it passed through F layer. The evaluation for this effect is carried out on radio Jove telescope frequency (20.1MHz) observations result. Radio emission for Jupiter storm burst observations over 11 years (1999-2009) from Hawaii, USA station (about 37611observations must be attended), are used in this research.
Two data limitations are applied on number of observation for Hawaii station, first due station location, second due to the reception of telescope antenna. The number of observations are reduced to 337 due to these limitation, but the actual number that be detected by station telescope is only 20.A model for ionospherical effect ,only due to sun

Chlamydia pneumoniae is an intracellular gram-negative bacteria associated with lower and upper respiratory tract infections. Several studies, mostly achieved by serological assays, proposed a role for this bacteria in lung cancer risk. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of Chlamydia pneuomoniae in fresh lung tissues of a sample of Iraqi patients with lung tumors, utilizing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. . Chlamydia pneumoniae DNA was detected in 86.67% of samples. Besides, DNA sequencing of 16S rRNA gene revealed that our isolate is closely related to Chlamydia pneumoniae TW183 strain. Dubas bug, Ommatissus lybicus (Asche and Wilson) is one of the major sucking pests of date palm. Both nymphs causes severe damage to the leaves by sucking the cell sap . If the damage is severe, it could cause the death of the date palms. The effect of different concentrations of some natural plant essential oils was evaluated on fifth instar nymphs of the insect. The results clearly demonstrated that the tested oils from mint (Mentha piperata), Parsley (Petroselinum sativum), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), and Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globules) to evaluate their effect on fecundity of fertile female resulted from these exposed instars nymphs and hatching of these egg. The corrected mortality and numbers of eggs laid, hatching, were studied.

First, we reduce it from integro VIDEs to integral VIEs of the 2nd kind by using the reducing theory, then we use two types of Non-polynomial spline function (linear, and quadratic). Finally, programs for each method are written in MATLAB language and a comparison between these two types of Non-polynomial spline function is made depending on the least square errors and running time. In this paper, the fundamental harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser (Q-switched 1064nm wavelength, 1 Hz repetition rate and 9 ns pulse duration) has been used for the ablation of cadmium samples in air at atmospheric pressure and the generation of the cadmium plasma. The experimentally observed lines of cadmium plasma emission have been used to calculate the plasma parameters such as (electron temperature (TReR), electron density (nReR), Debye length (λRDR) and plasma frequency (ωRpR)). Line pair ratio of neutral species have been used for the electron temperature and electron density measurements. Plasma parameters were studied as a functions of laser pulse energy.
