The study was done in the Hospital of Ibn-AL-Hythem for eyes infections in Baghdad from July till October of 2014. 120 conjunctiva eyes swap samples were collected from patients with pinkness or redness of the conjunctiva, which include 59 male and 61female. The diagnoses of specimens were done in the laboratories of the hospital by using the Analytical Profile Index System (API system). The results showed that 29(24.1%) samples were positive for bacterial infections while 91(75.9%) samples gave negative results, which mean conjunctivitis occurs by other causes. Show MoreIn the current study hundred ten of Iraqi patients with colorectal tumors were studied to evaluate the expression of Cathepsin D using Tissue microarray-Immunohistochemisty (TMA-IHC) technique. Of them, Ninety cases had colorectal carcinoma, and twenty had benign tumors. A group of twenty cases of non-specific colitis and other twenty colonic biopsies without significant pathology were also studied. Results revealed high expression of Cathepsin D in tumors (96.7% of malignant cases, 80% of adenomas) versus 30% of colitis. As well high significant differences (P< 0.001) in the expression of CathepsinD in different tumor types (adenocarcinoma and mucinous carcinoma), tumor stages and grades.

The present study was carried out on (80) adults asthmatic patients (43 male and 37 female), their age from (25 -65) years. Some of them acute episodes while other between episodes interval.They were selected from out patients clinics of AL-Zahra'a hospital for allergy and asthma in Baghdad.All patients were diagnosed according to standard medical criteria as being asthmatic. The results of investigations were compared with those for a total of (20) healthy individual [(12) male & (8) female] with age (25 – 45) years, as a control group, throughout the period extended from ( July 2014 till December 2014).
