This study was conducted to evaluate the activity of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) peel powder and Pseudomonas fluorescens against Pythium aphanidermatum the causal agent of cucumber seedlings damping-off. Results showed that augmenting of pomegranate peel powder at 2%, P. fluorescens suspension contain 4×107cfu/ml, and the fungicide Previcure N at 0.5 ml/L to culture media (PDA) were inhibited the pathogen growth by 100, 100 and 72.1% respectively. Results of greenhouse experiment indicated that treatment of cucumber seeds with pomegranate peel powder, reduced pre-emergence damping-off percentage to 3.3% compared with 16.6% disease with P. fluorescens and 96.6% in control treatment (pathogen only). No significant differences were ob

Links between environmental and socio- cultural changes are explored in archaeological and palaeoenvironmental data. The increased social and cultural developments as a response of enhanced aridity, driven by population accumulation in environments characterized by the presence of surface water resource. Three palaeoecological zones PZ1, PZ2, and PZ3 are deduced from the pollen diagram which reflect the climatic and ecologic changes throughout parts of the Holocene (5500-7500; 5500- 4000 and 4000-Present yr BP).

A Monte Carlo simulation has been used to design program which simulate gamma rays backscattering system. Gamma ray backscattering is very important to get useful information about shielding, absorption and counting problems. Simulation was done of a 661.6 KeV from a collimated point source of 137Cs. When increasing the scattering angle of photon which emerging from Iron target , as the incident gamma beam angles of 15°, 45° and 75°, the results showed that the single scattering count decreases. Whereas, this count increased by increasing the incident angle. In addition, the single scattering peak (count) increases according to the sample thickness until „saturation thickness‟. Our simulation results are useful to evaluate the opt

Wind energy harnesses the kinetic force of the wind through turbines to produce electricity. As a critical renewable energy source, it presents a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. The availability of wind energy is geographically contingent. This paper aims to pinpoint optimal sites for wind energy development in Iraq and to secure future energy needs from renewable sources to achieve this, a multi-criteria analysis utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) was employed to determine the prime locations for wind energy extraction. Vital climatic data incorporated into this analysis included a RASTER file of the study area's annual wind speed, temperature, precipitation, soil moisture, and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation

The steel fibers were added to polyester resin at the various fiber volume fractions of 5, 10, and 15% steel fiber, and with different fiber orientations such as woven steel fiber type (0-45) ° and woven steel fiber type (0-90) ° indicate. Hand layup processes in these experiments were used to produce specimens test with the curing time of 24 hr. for the composite at room temperature. The results show that the flexural strength and flexural modulus values for 15 % vol.of woven steel fiber composite type (0-90) ° are (210MPa) and (2.29GPa( respectively. The results above indicate that the woven steel fiber (0-9

Information retrieval applications require speed, consistency, accuracy and ease of use in retrieving relevant texts to satisfy user queries. This paper presents an automatic tool to retrieve documents based on Compact Genetic Algorithm (cGA). The similarity between queries and documents is computed with cosine coefficient, dice's coefficient, and Jaccard coefficient that are used as the fitness functions. Experimental results show that cGA can be successfully applied to information retrieval.
In this paper the problem of, unsteady, hydromagnatic free convective flow of
viscous incompressible and electrically conducting third order fluids past in infinite
vertical Porous plate in the presence of constant suction and heat absorbing sinks is
considered. It is found that the velocity and temperature distribution equations are
controlled by different dimensionless parameters, namely, Grashof number Gr,
prandtl number pr, Eckert number Ec, sink strength s, material moduli β and
coecostic parameter α. An analytic solution for each of the velocity and the
temperature distribution is obtained. The velocity and temperature distributions are

Calculation of cross section forρmeson production in real photon proton interactions has been carried out in terms of Regge theory. The amplitude of is used for calculating the coupling of the exchanged particle at the photon - vector meson vertex. We only need to replace the coupling of the pion to quarks by the coupling of the exchanged particle to quarks. This coupling has been fixed by the experimental data. A comparison of the model with data shows an excellent agreement.
An Estimation is a direct summation that can produce new data from past measurements. In this study, we confirm the possibility of using the (WEKA) program in estimating the monthly values of some climatological parameters and investigate the influence of the time series' length parameters on the accuracy of estimation for selected regions of Iraq. Satellite data were used, which represent the monthly values for each of the minimum and maximum temperature, wind velocity, and relative humidity for the 1981 – 2021 time period, the absolute error rate (MAE), and the square root of the error rate (RMSE) with the correlation

Various concentrations of yeast extract were used ( 0 , 50 , 100 , 250 , 500 and 1000 ) mg/L with two concentrations of the cytokinin 2ip (0 , 1) mg/L. Results showed that the conc. 250 mg/L in the absence of the cytokinin 2ip gave maximum fresh weight and length of somatic embryos , but this was not significantly differed from the control in dry weight. The conc. 50 mg/L in the presence of the cytokinin 2ip gave the highest number of somatic embryos. In addition, it was observed a browning in embryogenic callus at high concentrations of yeast extract (500 and 1000)mg/L. Thus, it is possible to use the yeast extract for growth of the embryogen

Honey is one of the most products has been used as an antimicrobial agent since the ancient times. The potential antimicrobial activity of honey is arise from its physiochemical proprieties such as high osmotic pressure, low pH, in addition to other factors and enzymes that work as antimicrobial agents. All these components and characteristics of honey led to consider it as one of the most efficient, useful and natural antimicrobial agents. From this point of view, recent study aim to evaluate the antibacterial activity of bee honey on some common species of pathogenic bacteria. The modulation of chaotic behavior in semiconductor laser with A.C coupling optoelectronic feedback has been numerically and experimentally reported. The experimental and numerical studying for the evaluation of chaos modulation behavior are considered in two conditions, the first condition, when the frequency of the external perturbation is varied, secondly, when the amplitude of this perturbation is changed. This dynamics of the laser output are analyzed by time series, FFT and bifurcation diagram.
