The research included four chapters starting with the chapter dealing with the problem of child abuse which was one of the most important educational and social problems faced by children from their parents or family members. The most common forms of abuse are physical and psychological violence. The problem of school delays is also one of the most important educational and psychological issues that concern educators, which occur because of violence and neglect of the family. The study pointed out that domestic violence is one of the issues that has started to alarm both the global and local communities, because childhood is one of the most important stages of the human development system, which is healthy in terms of physical, mental, psychological and social development. And the importance of the effects of domestic violence on the imbalance in educational achievement and the occurrence of the problem of school delays for primary school children. The aim of the research is to identify: the nature of family violence, its prevailing patterns and its causes in society, and the extent of the relationship between domestic violence and school delays in children in primary school. As well as to make some suggestions and recommendations that can contribute to reducing the phenomenon of domestic violence and get rid of the problem of school delays. The research is determined by the children of the primary stage, because this stage of the process of establishing in the two processes (educational and learning). Violence, family, family violence, child, violence against children, school delays, and late studies are also defined. The second chapter dealt with the theoretical framework dealing with forms of violence against children, psychological disorders and personality disorder, the motives of domestic violence, and studies on domestic violence and its impact on school delays. The third chapter deals with the theories of violence, the basic hypotheses of social learning theory, the theories of growth and its stages, the factors affecting scholastic achievement, and the needs of Maslow and its relationship to helping the child achieve scholastic achievement. Chapter IV examined its findings by linking the results of previous studies with theories of violence and growth. It found that domestic violence does not depend on physical harm. Abstract
The study of oxygen mass transfer was conducted in a laboratory scale 5 liter stirred bioreactor equipped with one Rushton turbine impeller. The effects of superficial gas velocity, impeller speed, power input and liquid viscosity on the oxygen mass transfer were considered. Air/ water and air/CMC systems were used as a liquid media for this study. The concentration of CMC was ranging from 0.5 to 3 w/v. This paper aims to study the effect of circular Y-shaped fin arrangement to improve the low thermal response rates of a double-tube heat exchanger containing Paraffin phase change material (PCM). ANSYS software is employed to perform the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations of the heat exchanger, including fluid flow, heat transfer, and the phase change process. The optimum state of the fin configuration is derived through sensitivity analysis by evaluating the geometrical parameters of the Y-shaped fin. The aim of this study is to describe the leech species that are used in some of the alternative medicine clinics in Baghdad Province based on morphometric measurements and colouring pattern of the body. A collection of twenty leeches was provided from some clinics. All specimens were identified and described based on standard available keys. The morphometric characteristics and colouring patterns were recorded and the indicated that these leeches were Hirudo orientalis Utevsky & Trontelj, 2005 and H. verbana Carena, 1820.
A novel planar type antenna printed on a high permittivity Rogers’ substrate is proposed for early stage microwave breast cancer detection. The design is based on a p-shaped wide-slot structure with microstrip feeding circuit to eliminate losses of transmission. The design parameters are optimized resulting in a good reflection coefficient at −10 dB from 4.5 to 10.9 GHz. Imaging result using inhomogeneous breast phantom indicates that the proposed antenna is capable of detecting a 5 mm size cancerous tumor embedded inside the fibroglandular region with dielectric contrast between the target and the surrounding materials ranging from 1.7 : 1 to 3.6 : 1.
