The work involves synthesis of new quinolin-2-one Schiff bases (XIII)a,b and (XIV)a,b, pyrazoles (XI)a,b and pyrazolines (XII)a,b derivatives containing isoxazoline or pyrimidine cycle starting with chalcones. 3-Aminoacetophenone was reacted with 4-bromobenzaldehyde or 4-N,N-dimethyl aminobenzaldehyde in basic medium to give chalcones (I)a,b by Claisen-Schemidt reaction. This paper presents a computer simulation model of a thermally activated roof (TAR) to cool a room using cool water from a wet cooling tower. Modeling was achieved using a simplified 1-D resistance-capacitance thermal network (RC model) for an infinite slab. Heat transfer from the cooling pipe network was treated as 2-D heat flow. Only a limited number of nodes were required to obtain reliable results. The use of 6^th order RC-thermal model produced a set of ordinary differential equations that were solved using MATLAB - R2012a. Background: Recent advancements in molecular techniques have identified over 450 genotypes of Human Papillomavirus (HPV), classified into low- and high-oncogenic risk categories. The rise in high-oncogenic risk HPV genotypes has been linked to various cancers, including those affecting the oral, oropharyngeal, and nasopharyngeal regions in both pediatric and adult populations. Methods: In this study, a cohort of 102 tonsillar tissue samples was included. This comprised 40 specimens from pediatric patients aged 4 to 9 years with nasopharyngeal adenoid hypertrophies, and 42 specimens from pediatric patients aged 5 to 12 years with palatine tonsillar hypertrophies.
