In this paper, the botnet detection problem is defined as a feature selection problem and the genetic algorithm (GA) is used to search for the best significant combination of features from the entire search space of set of features. Furthermore, the Decision Tree (DT) classifier is used as an objective function to direct the ability of the proposed GA to locate the combination of features that can correctly classify the activities into normal traffics and botnet attacks. The production and analysis of an optimal interference pattern for the optical fiber interferometer of a 193.1THz continuous laser source was simulated by comparing the spectral spectroscopy of the two arms of interferometer to be used as a heterodyne detection in sensing the body range, speed, and direction of movement by delaying the time between the arms.

In this study, an approach inspired by a standardized calibration method was used to test a laser distance meter (LDM). A laser distance sensor (LDS) was tested with respect to an LDM and then a statistical indicator explained that the former functions in a similar manner as the latter. Also, regression terms were used to estimate the additive error and scale the correction of the sensors.
