EFFECT OF USE MICROWAVE RADIATION IN SOM FOODS AND IABORATORY APPLICATIONS.: EFFECT OF USE MICROWAVE RADIATION IN SOM FOODS AND IABORATORY APPLICATIONS.

study the effect of radiation microwave (MW) in inhibition the growth of some types of bacteria in a minced meat and barker were exposed to MW for different times included (0, 10, 20, 30 and 40) sec.The results showed a high inhibition rate for 40 sec, reached to 100%. It is the other side studied the effect of microwave radiation against four types of bacteria included (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis and Klebsiella spp), when were exposed to for (0, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40) sec the inhibition ratio reached to 100% in each of the Proteus mirabilis and Klebsiella spp at 30 sec and Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli at 40sec. using MW in the sterilization media, such as Nutrient agar, Macconkey agar and Mannitol salt agar and compared with media sterilized through conventional autoclaving ,media poured in dishes and were incubated at 37ºc for 72 hour and then incubated at room temperature for 7 days, no contamination during the first 72 hours of incubation, and its pollution in conventional autoclaving media, as well as to study the effect of MW on the growth of E.coli, the results showed equal growth in both media. the effect of MW in some virulence factors for Proteus mirabilis and their sensitivity to antibiotics, the results showed the effect of MW on the Swarming formation when exposure to MW for 20sec. the resulte showed resistance bacteria to the Ciprofloxacin (cip )and sensitivity to the Aztreoname (ATM) compared with the bacteria not treated and that showed sensitivity to the CIP and ATM. the effect of MW in the food by measuring the concentration of vitamins dissolved in water, in each of the meat exposure to heat and MW, were Measured by HPLC, the vitamins were affected in the concentration in both treatments.

FOOD APPLICATIONS FOR OIL AND CHIA SEEDS SALVIA HISPANICA: FOOD APPLICATIONS FOR OIL AND CHIA SEEDS SALVIA HISPANICA

The extracted oil from the Chia seeds white and black were used in the manufacture of certain foods such as mayonnaise. The results of the sensory evaluation showed that the product was acceptable except for the flavor of white chia seed oil. The seeds were fully used in the manufacture of the nutella. The results of the sensory evaluation were encouraging the use of the extracted oil from the black chia seeds in the production of the nutella except the spread property. Chia seeds were also used in the manufacture of pudding. The results of the sensory evaluation showed an excellent and acceptable product of black chia seeds oil can be obtained, while the white seeds did not receive the acceptance in terms of color and flavor.

Leuconostoc bacteria was isolated from local pickled cabbage (Brassica oleracea capitata) and identified as Leuconostoc mesenteroides by morphology,biochemical and physiological. The local isolated L. mesenteroides bacteria under the optimal conditions of dextran production showed that, the highly production of dextran was 7.7g achieved by using a modified natural media comprised of 100ml whey, 10g refined sugar, 0.5g heated yeast extract, 0.01g CaCl2, 0.001g MgSO4, 0.001g MnCl2 and 0.001g NaCl at pH 6 and 25̊C for 24 hr of fermentation and by using 1ᵡ106 cell/ml as initial inoculums volume. Study the Effect of Using Microwave Radiation and H-Donors on Improving Heavy Oil

The present research has investigated the effect of microwave energy on improving the flow properties of heavy crude oil. The fragmentation of crude oil molecules was carried out with and without using 1 and 10 wt. % concentration of various types of H-donors like tetralin, cyclohexane, and naphtha.  Microwave power of 320, 385, and 540 W and radiation time 1-9 min, and temperature were studied. The kinematic viscosity and asphaltene content were measured for evaluation the improving of heavy crude oil.
