Effect of GA3 on Growth and Some Physiological Characterizes in Carrot Plant (Daucus Carota L.)

             This experiment was carried out in the field of researches in Kalar Technical Institute / Field crop dept. The aim of the research is to study the effect of foliar sprays of different concentrations of Gibberellic acid on growth and some physiological characterizes in Carrot plant (local white cultivar). The experiment treatments included three concentrations of Gibberellic acid (0, 50 and 100 ppm) and were carried out as applicable agricultural project (3×4). And the results were recorded as follows:                                           

            In using the Gibberellic acid concentration at (50 ppm) led to increase significantly the studied characteristics particularly plant height cm, number of branch/ plant, number of flower/ plant, shoot fresh weight (gm), fresh weight of biological weight gm/plant, shoot dry weight (gm), dry weight of biological weight gm/plant, chlorophyll content (µg/cm2), when compared with the other concentrations levels and controlling plants. And GA3 decreases significantly some of the studied characteristics as root fresh weight (gm), root dry weight (gm) and soluble carbohydrate which that compared with the controlling plants.

Effect of some plant extracts on germination and seeding of Raphanus sativus and effect on surface growth of Rhizoctonia solani

The experiment was conducted to study the effect of leaves extract of Salvia sclarea , Rosmarinus officinalis and Thymus vulgaris with 10% and 30% concentration on germination of seeds and growth of seedlings . The effect of these extracts on infection percentage of seeds decay and surface growth of Rhizoctonia solani . The results showed that the three extracts effected significantly to reduced percentage of seeds germination, acceleration of germination , promoter indicator , infection percentage of seeds decay and surface growth of R. solani especially in 30% concentration .

Effect of Mycorrhizal Inoculation and Fertilization with Plant Residues on the Growth of Chard Plant

Effect of Saline water and Potash Fertilizer on some chemical constituents in Pisum sativum L.(Var.Senador Cambados) plant.

On day 0 of incubation, 480 eggs (120 for each treatment group) were injected with 0% arginine (C group), 1% arginine (T1), 2% arginine (T2) or 3% arginine (T3). Effect of citric and glutamic acids on physiological characteristics and yield of Vicia faba L.

The field experiment was conducted in garden of Department of Biology, College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn- Al-Haitham), University of Baghdad during the season of growth (2014-2015). The experiment aimed to study the effect of citric acid with two concentration 10, 20 mg. L-1 and glutamic acid with two concentration 50, 100 mg. L-1 on growth and yield of broad bean (Vicia faba). The results were showed an increased in plant height, leaves number. Plant dry weight, chlorophyll content flowers number, absolute growth rate, crop growth rate, legume length and dry weight, legumes number, seed dry weight compared with control plants.

In Vitro Regeneration of Pimpinella Anisum L. Using Different Plant Growth Regulators

Plant regeneration protocols were developed for medicinally important anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) that successfully achieved from seeds. Seeds were sterilized and inoculated on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with and without gibberellins (GA3) until full germination. The highest percentage of germination (100%) was recorded on MS medium treated with 2.0 mg/L GA3 after 7 days.
