This research studies Reinforcing and applied load of Wear Rate for Epoxy composites contains from epoxy resin (Ep) as a matrix material and reinforced by Gawain red wood flour , Russian white wood flour , glass powder and rock wool fibers , with volume fraction (20%) for all samples in lab conditions. by using the load (10,20 ,30 ,40) Newton of iron disc for testing time(10) minute, and the results have shown that the reinforcing of epoxy resin led to decrease wear rate for all samples except the hybrid composites reinforced earth glass powder , that the wear rate values decrease from (22×10-9g/cm) to (4×10-9g/cm) of composite material(Ep+R.W.F) and thus(Ep+W.W.F) at last(Ep+R.W+R.W.F+W.W.F) , but the applied load increase led to increose wear rate for all samples .
This research studyies wear rate of composite materials by using Epoxy Resin and Polyurethane Rubber as a matrix of weigt percentage (90:10) (Ep/Pu) and reinforced by PVC fibers and Aluminum fibers two dimension knitted mat with fractional volume(15 %), in different conditions like: lab conditions and after submerge the samples in water for different periods of time. . four kinds of materials were prepared: (Ep+pu), (Ep+Pu+PVC), (Ep+Pu+Al.F), (Ep+Pu+PVC+Al. F) .And the results have shown that the best wear resistance are for the hybrid composite material (Ep + Pu+ PVC + Al. F) and wear rate of all samples increased when it was submerged in water
This research is devoted to study the effect of different in weight percentage of Sio2 particles and glass fibers (5, 10, 15, 20) wt. % on the wear rate epoxy resin. The results show that the value of hardness increase with the increase for the weight percentage of reinforcing particles and fibers, while the wear rate decrease with the increase the load level of the reinforcing particles and fibers . The largest value of the hardness, and the lowest value of the wear rate for epoxy reinforced with 20% of SiO2, the wear rate increase in general with increasing the applied load.

In the current work various types of epoxy composites were added to concrete to enhance its effectiveness as a gamma- ray shield. Four epoxy samples of (E/clay/B4C) S1, (E/Mag/B4C) S2, (EPIL) S3 and (Ep) S4 were used in a comparative study of gamma radiation attenuation properties of these shields that calculating using Mont Carlo code (MCNP-5). Adopting Win X-com software and Artificial Neural Network (ANN), µ/ρ revealed great compliance with MCNP-5. Binary polymer blend was prepared by mechanical mixing method of unsaturated polyester resin with Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) with different weight ratios (0, 5, 10 and 15) % of (NBR). Tensile characteristics and wear rates of these blends were studied for all mixing ratios. The microstructure of fracture surfaces of the prepared samples were investigated by optical microscope. The results were showed that strain rates of the resin material increase after blending it with rubber while the ultimate tensile strength and Young’s modulus values of it will decrease. It is also noticed that the wear rate of resin decreases with increasing of (NBR) content.

This search study the effect of particle size of graphite on the mechanical and thermal properties of epoxy composites, where graphite adopted with particle sizes (45,53,75) ?m, respectively, and the percentages by weight (0,1,3,5,7,9)% for each size of this three particle sizes.Mechanical properties represented by the bending (three-point bending) and through which the conclusion is bending stress and modulus of elasticity, thermal properties were either through thermal conductivity tests.The results showed that the ratio(1%) is the maximum value of bending stress at the three particle size and the (45 ?m) is the maximum.Thermal conductivity result show is the maximum value at ratio (1%) of particle size(53 ?m)
Hand-lay up method was used to prepare the samples made of epoxy (EP) as a matrix reinforced with chopped carbon fibers (CCF). The fatigue behavior of epoxy resin /chopped carbon fiber composites was studied with different weight percentage of chopped carbon fibers (2.5%,5%,7.5%,10%,12.5%). The fatigue test was carried out under alternate bending method, which was made by applying sinusoidal wave with constant displacement (15mm), stress ratio R=-1,and loading frequency 10Hz, which is believed to give a negligible temperature rise during the test. The results of the maximum stress, fatigue strength, fatigue limit and fatigue life of the tested composites are calculated from stress(S)-number of cycles(N) (S-N) curves.
