A Qualitative Study of Discharge Waste Water from Babil / 2 Batteries Factory in Baghdad

 The quality of industrial water from (Babil / 2 batteries factory in Baghdad) was  investigated, and evaluated the physical and chemical characteristics of the water discharged from sections ALShahen , final collection sank. The values were represented by pH, electrical conductivity, biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand ,total suspended solid, total dissolved solid, sulfate, chloride and heavy metal. The sample  of water collocated  by  two samples per month for 6 months  was taking during the period from Novembers 2013 to May 2014. The results show that industrial waste water factory contains contaminations and has varying value rates the average of PH,EC, TDS, SO4, COD, Pb, Zn, for the final collection sank and respectively 8.2,1191.6s/cm, 927 mg/L ,722 mg/L,29.2 mg/L, 0.04,mg/L,0.03 mg/L and for Al-Shahen department which also consider final  discharge water but it is separated from final collection sank often acted to Sewerage network PH,EC, TDS, SO4,COD, Zn, Pb, 1.6,12058 s/cm, 10122mg/L ,3383 mg/L,203.5 mg/L, 0.4 mg/L, 0.6 mg/L, it is turns of that there is high sulfate  pollution and the value of electrical conductivity was high  and  other materials solid dissolved, heavy metals  and the other parameter  like BOD, CL,TSS,Cd were within the allowable discharge limits.

A study of qualitative, classification soil algae in some areas from Baghdad, Iraq

A study of taxonomic quality of soil algae was conducted with some environmental variables in three sites of local gardens (Kadhimiya, Adhamiya and Dora) within the governorate of Baghdad for the period from October 2016 to March 2017. The study identified 28 species belonging to 16 species in which the predominance of blue green algae (18 species) Followed by Bacillarophyta algae (7 species) and three types of Chlorophyta. Salivary antioxidants in relation to dental caries among a group of lead-acid batteries factory workers

Background: Lead-acid battery workers are at higher risk for systemic diseases as well as oral diseases like dental caries. The aim of this study was to assess selected salivary antioxidants and their relation with dental caries among lead acid battery factory workers in comparison with non-exposed group. Mathematical Model for BOD in Waste Water Discharges from Al Dora Refinery in Baghdad

This research consists of two parts, the first part concern with analyzing the collected data of BOD and COD values in discharge waste water from Al-Dora refinery during 2010 to find the relationship between these two variables The results indicates that there is a high correlation between BOD and COD when using a natural logarithm model (0.86 ln(COD)) with correlation coefficient of 0.98. This relationship is useful in predicting the BOD value using the COD value. Effects of Lead on Hemopoeitic and Iron Status in Iraqi Workers at Lead Batteries Factory

The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of lead exposure on hemopoetic system (through the index delta-Aminolevulinic acid dehydratase ?-ALAD activity & hemoglobin concentration (Hb) ) and on iron status (levels of iron Fe, Ferritin Fr, Total iron binding capacity TIBC, percentage of transferine saturation TF%) in 44 Iraqi worker at lead batteries factory. Study the Impact of the waste which discharged from Al-Karama and Sharq- Dijla water treatment plants in water pollution of Tigris River water
