Association Between Lipid Profile ,BMI , and Some Pituitary Hormones Abnormalities In Sera of Iraqi Infertile Females

In this study , the clinical impact of interaction between gonadotrophin hormones (luteinzing hormone, LH, and follicle stimulating hormone ,FSH ) and prolactin PRL in serum of seventeen Iraqi infertile female with the lipid profile . In addition to control group involving age matched fertile females . Immunoradiometric assay ( IRMA ) technique for the determination of (LH , FSH and PRL) was utilized. The lipid profile { i.e. total cholesterol ( Tc ) , triglycerides (TG) , and high density lipoprotein – Cholestrol ( HDLc )} ,were evaluated by using colorimetric method , while{ low density lipoprotein cholesterol ( LDLc ) and very low density lipoprotein – cholesterol ( VLDLc )} , were evaluated by using a mathematical formulas. The body mass index ( BMI ) was calculated as weight ( Kg) / height ( m² ). The results revealed that only( 20%) of infertile female with abnormal hormonal levels are obese , while (40% )of them were overweight . Only (TG ) in sera of infertile female showed a significant increase than that of control group. On the other hand no significant differences in (Tc) , (HDLc) were noticed in sera of groups under consideration . A conclusion could be obtained from the above data , that (BMI )or obesity is not associated with infertility always.

Comparative Study of Sclerostin and Lipid Profile in Type 2 Diabetic Patients of Iraqi Women with Osteoporosis

Background: Chronic hyperglycemia is the most frequent diabetes-related metabolic disorder because of faulty insulin action or production. According to the WHO, osteoporosis is a progressive systemic skeletal disorder that decreases bone mass and micro architecture bone tissue, increasing bone fragility and fracture risk. Nervosa damage determines how much a diabetic's body is damaged. Objective: The current work aimed to examines age, BMI, HbA1c, fasting blood glucose, sclerostin, and lipid profiles (TC, TG, HDL-C, VLDL-C, and LDL-C) in Iraqi T2DM menopausal women with /without osteoporosis to detect biomarkers in such condition. Subjects and Methods: 120 subjects were included in this study. They were divided into 3 groups; Group 1 (N = 4

A STUDY OF LEPTIN & LIPID PROFILE IN A SAMPLE OF IRAQI PATIENTS WITH KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS.

Background: New data suggests that joint damage in Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA) may be caused by systemic factors like adipose tissue products; Adipokines, which may provide a
metabolic link between obesity & KOA. Recently, one of the known adipokines named LEPTIN has been linked to KOA because it can be detected in serum & synovial fluid of
patients with KOA.
Objective: To evaluate the contribution of Leptin & serum lipids to the pathophysiology of Osteoarthritis in Iraqi patients with Knee OA.
Subjects& Methods: The study was carried on 90 subjects divided into four groups: Knee Osteoarthritis cases group (n=60). Control group (n=30). Obese subjects group (n=60).

Effect of COVID-19 on the Role of Renin Enzyme and ACE2 and Hormones in PCOS Females

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most endocrine problem in women of regenerative age. PCOS women typically belong to an age and sex group which is at higher risk for severe coronavirus disease (COVID-19). COVID-19 targets cells through angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor presents on cells in veins, lungs, heart, digestion tracts, and kidneys. Renin-Angiotensin System (RAS) over activity has likewise been described in metabolic disorders; type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and conditions shared by women with polycystic ovary condition. The point of this study is to know the job of renin and ACE2 in PCOS and coronavirus and its relationship with hormones and other metabolic parameters related. The study groups consist of 1
