Abraham (peace be upon him) is one of the messengers sent by Allah to call people to the worship of Him alone. The Quran recounts the course of Prophet Abraham’s (PBUH) mission and how Allah saved him from his people when they sought to burn him. Throughout history, scholars have studied the story of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) in ancient religious traditions, including Judaism and Christianity. Their research has yielded various findings, some of which align with Islamic teachings, while others diverge from them. The study highlights that the Quran narrates the story of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), detailing the course of his mission and how Allah saved him from his people when they sought to burn him. The significance of this research lies in understanding the challenges faced by divine messages in liberating nations from idol worship. It emphasizes that the mission of Allah’s close friend, Abraham (PBUH), was a divine message and that Islam is a continuation of his prophethood. The study concludes that Prophet Abraham (PBUH) holds a significant place in the hearts of both Muslims and non-Muslims.
