The current research tries to study the reasons for lying since its
inception, as it is interesting to a child's moral growth, which can benefit from
the results of this research by institutions of socialization, parents and
teachers in the treatment and care of children.
The objective of this research is to highlight the reasons for lying to the
children from the viewpoint of teachers and the answer to the paragraphs of
research designed research instrument (questionnaire) was distributed to a
sample of teachers was clear from the analysis that the reasons lie that
received a high percentage of members of the sample are: -
- The fear of severe punishment
- Child rid himself of a specific problem
- To satisfy the parents
- The desire of the child to an adult to encourage and reward
- Keep up the child to his friends and to win the raid
- To get sympathy and pity
- The child's desire to attract the attention of his other
- Depriving the child from enjoying life verse lies for compensation
- Access to the high status of others
- Excessive indulgence of the child by others
- Neglecting the family of the child
The research came out with several recommendations and proposals
Lying is considered a dangerous tendency among children if it has become a habit. It results in many social problems, such as child’s loss of confidence, lack of others’ respect to him, and his lack of respect to the desired values of the society, such as honesty and trust. Consequently, he will be led to a deviation when he becomes old; especially if the child’s socially unaccepted behavior has not been directed. Two instruments were used. The first was to measure bullying and it included 19 items. To measure parental treatment, the researchers adopted (Aletaby 2001) scale.
Statistical analysis showed that correlation between bullying , wiggle and Firm treatment style was positive Statistically significant .Bulling was correlated negatively with (neglect, careless, and Authoritarian treatment style.
