Correlation Between Serum Interleukinslevels with Anthropometric Data and Lipid Profiles in Obese Iraqi Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

This study was performed to assess the correlation of serum interleukins (ILs) levels with anthropometric data and lipid profile status in blood samples obtained from 100 Iraqi obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome PCOS. Obese non PCOS healthy women (n=75) matching in age (19-38 years) and body mass index(29.9-33.4kg/m2) served as a control group. The samples were collected from Kamal Al-Samurai Teaching hospital during the period of December 2017- June 2018.ELISA kits were used to measure serum levels of IL-6,IL-10,IL-18, IL-29,IL-33,tumor necrotic factor (TNF-α),high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP),  insulin, total testosterone, and sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG).The biochemical measurements of blood glucose and  lipid profile were performed by conventional colorimetricmethods. The results demonstrated significant  differences(P < 0.01) in serum levels of all interleukins and  lipid profile parameters in obese PCOS in comparison with obesenon PCOS control women. In addition, PCOS women had higher insulin and FAI levels in comparison to non PCOS women. The findings suggest that androgen excess, indicated by high free androgen index (FAI),might serve as an indicator of a prediabetic status, as it might promote insulin resistance and 𝛽-cell dysfunction in PCOS women. Circulatory interleukin levels in obese PCOS women may act on the development of insulin resistance and androgen oversupply in PCOS,suggesting that high serum ILs levels were related to insulin resistance (IR) and androgen excess but not to body mass index. A high IL level is not an elemental characteristic of PCOS, but it may act in promoting IR and hyperandrogenism of PCOS.

THE TAXONOMICAL SIGNIFICANT OF COMPUTERD PHYLOGENETIC ANALYSIS AND MORPHOLOGICAL DATA IN SOME SPECIES OF POLYGONACEAE

This research dealt with study of cladistics taxonomy of  five  species related to the genus Rumex L. and Polygonum L. from family polygonaceae in Iraq by using Mesquite software V.2.75. This  research support strongly delimiting  the species P. aviculare L. and P. lapathifolia L.as suggested in floras publication while R. dentatus L. is setted in single group whereas R. vesicarius L. and R. conglomeratus Murray were included in the same group. Also, this study involved characteristics of shape, dimensions, color, and ornamentation of seeds and fruits as  the seed forms were ranging from lenticular to trigonous. In terms of size calculations,  the seeds of R. vesicarius  was recorded the higher range (4.0- 4.5) mm in length w

Calculation of Salinity and Soil Moisture indices in south of Iraq - Using Satellite Image Data

A band rationing method is applied to calculate the salinity index (SI) and Normalized Multi-Band Drought Index (NMDI) as pre-processing to take Agriculture decision in these areas is presented. To separate the land from other features that exist in the scene, the classical classification method (Maximum likelihood classification) is used by classified the study area to multi classes (Healthy vegetation (HV), Grasslands (GL), Water (W), Urban (U), Bare Soil (BS)). A Landsat 8 satellite image of an area in the south of Iraq are used, where the land cover is classified according to indicator ranges for each (SI) and (NMDI).

Seismic Data Processing of Subba Oil Field in South Iraq

Evaluation study was conducted for seismic interpretation using two-dimensional seismic data for Subba oil field, which is located in the southern Iraq. The Subba oil field was discovered in 1973 through the results of the seismic surveys and the digging of the first exploratory well SU-1 in 1975 to the south of the Subba oil field. The entire length of the field is 35 km and its width is about 10 km. The Subba oil field contains 15 wells most of them distributed in the central of the field.

This study is dealing with the field data and how to process it for the purpose of interpretation; the processes included conversion of field data format, compensation of lost data and noise disposal, as well as the a

Using Affiliation Rules-based Data Mining Technique in Referral System

Referral techniques are normally employed in internet business applications. Existing frameworks prescribe things to a particular client according to client inclinations and former high evaluations. Quite a number of methods, such as cooperative filtering and content-based methodologies, dominate the architectural design of referral frameworks. Many referral schemes are domain-specific and cannot be deployed in a general-purpose setting. This study proposes a two-dimensional (User × Item)-space multimode referral scheme, having an enormous client base but few articles on offer. Additionally, the design of the referral scheme is anchored on the  and  articles, as expressed by a particular client, and is a combination of affi

The Factors Affecting on Managing Sensitive Data in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing represents the most important shift in computing and information technology (IT). However, security and privacy remain the main obstacles to its widespread adoption. In this research we will review the security and privacy challenges that affect critical data in cloud computing and identify solutions that are used to address these challenges. Some questions that need answers are: (a) User access management, (b) Protect privacy of sensitive data, (c) Identity anonymity to protect the Identity of user and data file. To answer these questions, a systematic literature review was conducted and structured interview with several security experts working on cloud computing security to investigate the main objectives of propo

Comparing Open Source Map Data in Areas Lacking Authoritative Mapping

One wide-ranging category of open source data is that referring to geospatial information web sites. Despite the advantages of such open source data, including ease of access and cost free data, there is a potential issue of its quality. This article tests the horizontal positional accuracy and possible integration of four web-derived geospatial datasets: OpenStreetMap (OSM), Google Map, Google Earth and Wikimapia. The evaluation was achieved by combining the tested information with reference field survey data for fifty road intersections in Baghdad, Iraq. The results indicate that the free geospatial data can be used to enhance authoritative maps especially small scale maps.

Application of Data Mining Techniques on Tourist Expenses in Malaysia

Tourism plays an important role in Malaysia’s economic development as it can boost business opportunity in its surrounding economic. By apply data mining on tourism data for predicting the area of business opportunity is a good choice. Data mining is the process that takes data as input and produces outputs knowledge. Due to the population of travelling in Asia country has increased in these few years. Many entrepreneurs start their owns business but there are some problems such as wrongly invest in the business fields and bad services quality which affected their business income. The objective of this paper is to use data mining technology to meet the business needs and customer needs of tourism enterprises and find the most effective

Microalbuminuria among children and adolescents with sickle cell disease

BACKGROUND: Sickle cell nephropathy, a heterogeneous group of renal abnormalities resulting from complex interactions of sickle cell disease (SCD)-related factors and non-SCD phenotype characteristics, is associated with an increased risk for morbidity and mortality. AIMS: The aims of this study were to determine the frequency of microalbuminuria (MA) among pediatric patients with SCD and to determine risk factors for MA among those patients. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: A case–control study was carried out on 120 patients with SCD, 2–18 years old, registered at Basrah Center for Hereditary Blood Diseases, and 132 age-and sex-matched healthy children were included as a control group. Investigations included complete blood panel, blood urea, se
