The particle-hole state densities have been calculated for 232Th in
the case of incident neutron with , 1 Z Z T T T T and 2 Z T T .
The finite well depth, surface effect, isospin and Pauli correction are
considered in the calculation of the state densities and then the
transition rates. The isospin correction function ( ) iso f has been
examined for different exciton configurations and at different
excitation energies up to 100 MeV. The present results are indicated
that the included corrections have more affected on transition rates
behavior for , , and above 30MeV excitation energy
Empirical equation has been presented to predict the optimum hydrodynamic
pressure gradient with optimum mud flow rate (one equation) of five Iraqi oil wells
to obtain the optimum carrying capacity of the drilling fluid ( optimum transport
cuttings from the hole to the surface through the annulus).
This equation is a function of mud flow rate, mud density and penetration
rate without using any charts or graphs.
The correlation coefficient accuracy is more than 0.9999.
A gliding arc discharge (GAD) with a water spray system was constructed. A non-thermal plasma, generated between two V shaped electrodes in an ambient argon driven by 100 Hz AC voltage, was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) with different gas flow rates (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 , 2.5 , 3 1/min). Boltzmann plot method was used to calculate electron temperature (Te) and electron density (ne). The electrodes design was spectrally recognized and its Te value was about 0.588-0.863 eV, while the ne value of 6.875×1017-10.938×1017 cm-3. The results of the plasma diagnostics generated by gliding arc showed that increasing gas f

Tool steel O1 was selected as the workpiece material, copper as the electrode material, and kerosene as the dielectric medium. Experimental runs have been carried out with a Design of Experiment (DOE) technique. Twenty tests are accomplished with the current range of (18 to 24 Ampere), a pulse duration range of (150 to 200 µs), and a pulse-off time range of (25 to 75 µs). Based upon the experimental study's output results, the EDM parameter's effect (voltage of power supply, discharge current, pulse duration, and pulse pause interval) on the responses of the process represented by sur

We report a method of converting non-conductive plastic surfaces into conductive by plating either copper electroless or copper electroplating -carbon black containing bending Agent onto Perspex plastics . Various approaches have been studied in order to comparing properties of the plated copper for two methods such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM),thickness, roughness, porosity, tensile Strength and elongation. The results show that the surface of electroplating was uniform, compact, and continuous and it had an obvious metallic sheen, while the surface of plated copper for electroless for it had many pores. Also observed that the coating was composed of small cells. Thes

Show MoreAnalyzing the impacts of Cattaneo-Christov flux, bioconvective Raleigh number and cross diffusion effects in electrically conducting micropolar fluid through a paraboloid revolution is assessed in this work. Non-dimensional equations are solved numerically using shooting technique with an aid of Matlab software. The impact of various parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration are discussed in detail and presented graphically. Harman number and micro rotation parameters are found and have an increasing influence on shear stress. The vertical velocity increases at free stream and the horizontal velocity increases near the surface when Grb increases, which follows the opposite trend for accumulation of Rb. T

Observations are obtained from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) which reaches now to the DATA Release (DR14). The data reduction of all images (bias and flat field) has been done by SDSS Pipeline. The surface photometric investigation was performed like the magnitude. Together with isophotal contour maps, surface brightness profiles and a bulge/disk decomposition of the images of the galaxies, although the disk position angle, ellipticity, and inclination of the galaxies have been done. Also, the color of galaxies was studied, where chromatic distribution

Therefore, the removal of diclofenac from aqueous solutions using activated carbon produced by pyrocarbonic acid and microwaves was investigated in this research. Apricot seed powder and pyrophosphoric acid (45 wt%) were selected as raw material and activator respectively, and microwave irradiation technique was used to prepare the activated carbon. The raw material was impregnated in pyrophosphoric acid at 80◦C with an impregnation ratio of 1: 3 (apricot seeds to phosphoric acid), the impregnation time was 4 h, whereas the power of the microwave was 700 watts with a radiation time of 20 min. This is performed by counting the alpha tracks emitted from radon by exposing the CR-39 detector. Measurements indicated that the highest concentration of radon in dried fruit samples was in dried coconut sample 69.89247 Bq/m3, and the lowest concentration of radon was in figs 50.40323 Bq/m3, while the highest concentration of radon was in grain samples in oats was 61.82796 Bq/m3, The lowest concentration of radon was in Iraqi bulgur was 48.3871 Bq/m3, These results are due to the type and characteristics of the soil. A matrix of Doelhert to three factors was used as the experimental design, adopting weight loss results as it permits the use of the response surface methodology which exploited in determination of the synergistic effect as inhibition on the mild steel. The results were confirmed using electrochemical polarization measurements. Experimental results showed that the inhibition efficiency (IE%) increases with increase in concentration of inhibitor and with increasing of temperature. The addition iodide ions t

Materials and Methods: Two hundred and forty mice (120 males and 120 females) were injected intraperitoneally with a single dose of 2000 protoscolices (PSCs) /mouse at four ages (3-4, 7-8, 10 and 20 weeks). Each age group consisted of 60 mice (30 males and 30 females); in which 15 animals of each sex were the treated group, while the other 15 animals were a control group (injected with normal saline).
