The study explores the use of ergative verbs in constructing clauses and their impact on the backgrounding of the agent's role in two selected short stories. Contrary to hypothesis No. 1, the research indicates that changes in sentence patterns don't affect the meaning of the process. Additionally, hypothesis No. 2 is refuted as the middle structure is found to highlight the agent's role in the science fiction short story, Terra Infirmum, rather than concealing it as hypothesized for "The Invisible Man." The analysis uncovers that writers utilize ergative processes to narrate stories in various ways, including transitive/active voice, intransitive/active voice, and transitive/passive voice. Furthermore, the findings suggest that writers employ ergative processes to depict actions either from the perspective of the entity performing the action or from the viewpoint of the entity involved and affected by the process, thereby offering a nuanced portrayal of events.
The microbend sensor is designed to experience a light loss when force is applied to the sensor. The periodic microbends cause propagating light to couple into higher order modes, the existing higher order modes become unguided modes. Three models of deform cells are fabricated at (3, 5, 8) mm pitchand tested by using MMF and laser source at 850 nm. The maximum output power of (8, 5, 3)mm model is (3, 2.7, 2.55)nW respectively at applied force 5N and the minimum value is (1.9, 1.65, 1.5)nW respectively at 60N.The strain is calculated at different microbend cells ,and the best sensitivity of this sensor for cell 8mm is equal to 0.6nW/N.

The study was conducted from November 2021 to May 2022 at the three study sites within the Baghdad governorate. The study aims to identify the impact of human activities on the Tigris River, so an area free of human activities was chosen and represented the first site. A total of 48 types were diagnosed, 6204 ind/m3 spread over three sites. The following environmental indicators were evaluated: Constancy Index (S), Relative abundance index (Ra), Richness Index (between 17.995 and 23.251), Shannon Weiner Index (0.48-1.25 bit/ind.), Uniformity Index (0.124 -0.323). The present work aimed to study effect of (N749 & N3) dyes on TiO2 optical and electrical properties for optoelectronic application. The TiO2 paste prepared by using a doctor blade method. The samples were UV-VIS specterophometricall analyzes of TiO2 before and after immersed in dyes (N749 & N3). In this paper, the effective computational method (ECM) based on the standard monomial polynomial has been implemented to solve the nonlinear Jeffery-Hamel flow problem.
