Background: Concha bullosa is an anatomical variation which defined by pneumatizaton of middle turbinate that occurred with an incidence of (5 to 25%) in the normal population.It has the potential to cause crowding and obstruction of the middle meatus and nasal cavity. There are many surgical techniques which utilized for its management. Study goal: Is to compare the formation of adhesion between endoscopic partial lateral middle turbinectomy and middle turbinate trimming in cases of concha bullosa. Patients and methods: A prospectivecomparative clinical trial was performed in the ENT department at Al-Shahid Ghazi AL Hariri Hospital in Medical City over the period from September 2016 to August 2017. Fifty nine (59) patients {24 males & 35 females} complained from long-standing history of unilateral or bilateral nasal obstruction (without signs of allergy, nasal polyps or masses) was included in this study. CT scan of nose and para-nasal sinuses revealed twenty one (21) patients had unilateral concha bullosa while thirty eight (38) of them had bilateral concha bullosa. The patients were divided randomly, into two groups regarding the type of endoscopic surgical management of concha bullosa (partial lateral middle turbinectomy versus trimming of middle turbinate). Patients were followed-up every 2 weeks for three months postoperatively (subjective assessment of the nasal airway patency and endoscopic nasal examination looking for any adhesion to lateral nasal wall). Results: The percentage of adhesion was (23.4%) in partial lateral middle turbinectomy and was (8%) in trimming of middle turbinate while the relief of nasal obstruction was (96.8%) after middle turbinate trimming and was (82.1%) after partial lateral middle turbinectomy. Conclusions: The adhesion was more statistically significant in partial lateral middle turbinectomy than middle turbinate trimming with (P value = 0.036) and the nasal airway patency improvement was more statistically significant after middle turbinate trimming than partiallateral middle turbinectomy with (P value = 0.027).
Abstract
The current research aims to identify psychological resilience among middle school students. a sample of (300) male and female students was chosen from Al- Azmaa Intermediate School for Boys and Ohran Intermediate School for Girls, It is affiliated with the second Rusafa Education Directorate in Baghdad Governorate. To achieve the research objective, the researcher adopted a scale of Luthar & Cicchetti (2000) to measure psychological resilience. The results showed that middle school students have psychological resilience. There is no significant difference in psychological resilience between males and females.
The study was conducted for the detection of Aflatoxin B1(AFB1) in the serum and urine of 42 early and middle childhood patients (26 male and 16 female ) with renal function disease, liver function disease, in additional to atrophy in the growth and other symptoms depending on the information within consent obtained from each patient, in addition to 8 children, apparently healthy, as the control. Abstract
The current research aims to identify the level of E-learning among middle school students, the level of academic passion among middle school students, and the correlation between e-learning and academic passion among middle school students. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher developed two questionnaires to measure the variables of the study (e-learning and study passion) among students, these two tools were applied to the research sample, which was (380) male and female students in the first and second intermediate classes. A total of 61 bat specimens belonging to three species were collected from four distinct sites in the middle of Iraq. Five species of acarine ectoparasites on bats were found. These were: Steatonyssus periblepharus Kolenati, Spinturnix acuminatus (C. L. K.). Cheletonella sp. Rhizoglyphus sp., and Argas sp. Three of the recorded species were new to Iraqi fauna. The abundance and accurence of each parasite was varied from one species to another. S. periblepharus aria S. acuminatus were the most common species found in this study.

The present study is meant to inquire about the training needs of middle stage leaders in Bisha, (Saudi Arabia) from the perspective of teachers. To achieve this purpose, the researcher has designed a questionnaire containing (31) items, distributed to a sample of (157) teacher (male and female) from the target population.
This research has demonstrated that the level of training needs for middle stage leaders was moderately reported with an arithmetic mean equivalent to (2.42), and a standard deviation of (0.36).
