This study is an attempt to investigate the semantic and syntactic features of English and Arabic verbs of eating. After surveying the literature on the meaning of verbs in both languages, three chapters address the major issues in this subject. The problem to be investigated in this study can be summarized in the following points: 1. The overlapping of semantic and syntactic features within the category of verbs of eating in English and Arabic. 2. Which semantic classification is more accurate and through which method? 3. Which classification, the semantic or the syntactic, is more important? This study hypothesized the following: 1. The semantic features are more influential in analyzing the category of verbs of eating than the syntactic ones. 2. There is a similarity in terms of semantic and syntactic characteristics of verbs of eating in English as well as in Arabic Chapter two deals with the semantic classification of English and Arabic verbs of eating. It starts with classifying verbs of eating according to the semantic roles of their subjects and the semantic domains of these verbs, such as intentional/unintentional and stative dynamic features. The relationship between English and Arabic semantic roles and the metaphorical usage of this category of verbs has been addressed in two separate sections. Chapter Three studies the syntactic features of verbs of eating in both languages. It is an attempt to show whether these verbs are transitive/intransitive and regular irregular. It also shows that in every semantic class there is a combination of semantic features on one hand and syntactic features on the other hand. Atrial fibrillation is associates with elevated risk of stroke. The simplest stroke risk assessment schemes are CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc score. Aspirin and oral anticoagulants are recommended for stroke prevention in such patients.

We report on using a CO2 (10.6 µm) laser to debond the lithium disilicate veneers. Sixty-four sound human premolar teeth and 64 veneer specimens were used in the study. The zigzag movement via CO2 laser handpiece along with an air-cooled jet to prevent temperature elevation above the necrosis temperature limit (5.5 C°) was applied. The optimal deboning irradiation time was super-fast, at about 5 seconds at 3 Watt CO2 laser power. It is 20 times less than any previously published work for veneers debonding.
